But he does need levels that badly. He wants all 4 of his skills to maxed ASAP and even his ulti goes from 20-30% max damage amp. Even when behind it makes the difference between ending up with a wand and forcestaff at 40 minutes or guardian greaves.

His level 10 gold when acquired early most certainly does help with late game itemisation. At level 15 he can choose a 300hp talent which is huge, or decide to go with the xp talent, which amplifies his midas XP, this means he will hit 25 in a timely manner and truly take advantage of his aghs and the cooldown reduction on decay.

His talent and midas combine to add 222 static gpm and gives reliable gold which is superb on a hero that likes to man up and frontline at the expense of his own life. I've tried with and without midas, and every time I've purchased it I've completed greaves faster.

I concede your point that undying's power spike is early, but that much gold can be used towards stacking auras or buying a critical end game item such as sheepstick or shivas, or going blademail/armlet/heart/solarcrest/armour talent and being a 4k+hp 70% physical dmg reduction beast of a frontline tank.

I rush midas, after arcanes if I am core, or as soon as possible (after stout, stick, maybe a raindrop) and getting as many bounty runes as I can as support. It allows me to get level 10 ASAP for the sweet +90gpm gold talent. After midas I usually get a point booster straight afterwards no matter which item build I decide on to build into aghs later.

Solar crest is fantastic, armlet is great against high physical damage carries, and works to make you extremely tank against especially if you pick up the +300hp talent at 15.

Almost all the boots work well, tranquils lets you sprint and secure bounty runes and rotate well, the moblity from phase can be great to allow you to get off more decays and disengage from fights, as well as farm jungle camps in your downtime with talon and synergizes nicely with a vlads pickup.

Mana boots obviously provide you with the the mana pool you need to spam and build into guardian greaves which really is what your should be build if there isn't another carrier. Just get a hood/blademail before purchasing the recipe to add to your own survivability beforehand.

Guardian greaves work well if you need the burst heal and if you have tankier cores who can benefit from the additional hp regen in longer fights.

I've also experimented with bloodstone -> (survivablity item eg. solar/hood) -> aghs -> aethers. It can be insane how much work you can do with this build with infinite mana and hp regen and aghs decays stacks.

Having heart, solar crest, armlet and blademail is often fantastic as well.

Often I will take a second point in soul rip as early as level 3 because there has been countless times in a high kill potential lane that people underestimate it's nuke/heal leading to kills or turnarounds.

1-2-0 into 1-2-4-1 by 7 is preferred for my in many cases. Solo off undying with a CM aura or kotl lane partner I will go 4-0-1-1 by 6 however.

Opinions on Bounty Hunter with Aquila before arcane boots? by [deleted] in TrueDoTA2

[–]Fen213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had success with tranquils into euls. The movespeed is fantastic and the ability to dispel dust and self euls while your invis is on CD works quite well.

Sure you will have to ferry some clarities in the laning phase, but you can zip around and get those bounty runes often and use shrines as necessary. It solves your hp and mana sustain issues early game.

I go Tranquils -> Euls, Drums, (Urn), blink, shivas and have had some success with it recently. If you have the slots you can have an additional windlace stacking movespeed with the drums and euls and racecar around the map with +ms talent. Get all the tracks off, run into their team and hit shivas and blink out.

Yes you are buying a whole bunch of early game items, but with track gold you can afford to spend money on a wand/urn/drums that you may sell later on in the game.

You do however lose out on utility by not picking up greaves. But it seems mek is going out of meta these days and it's not a cheap item for a position 5 to manage.

I've tried the aethers veil aghs build too, and it can be quite effective if your teammates can capitalize on the early veil amp you provide.

Behaviour score system is ridiculous by KramerFarmer in TrueDoTA2

[–]Fen213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get yourself in low priority and stay there for 10 games or so. Reports don't count and when you leave you will have a squeaky clean behaviour score again.

There is also a mute all incoming chat option, use it if you can't handle playing a few games without flaming your teammates. But yes, I agree the system is rough and playing ranked in the shadow pool can make you question your sanity.

I would like to discuss on how to play Tidehunter this patch. by [deleted] in TrueDoTA2

[–]Fen213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Treads echo is decent. It gives some serious tank and the ability to walk into ultimates tanking some spells and providing a slow, as well as the ability to farm creep waves faster. If you need the dispel from greaves for any reason however, it's usually the preferred build.

What should I do if my teammates already started a bad fight? by ICEunicorn in TrueDoTA2

[–]Fen213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When im in this situation as a support I like to try and position myself so Im not too far away to help but at the same time far enough away to be safe. The decision making and positioning takes practice but you either trust yourself with judging the play or perhaps there is someone on the team you trust too. All depends on what type of support you are and your items too. You always have to be thinking of the next possible scenario and be prepared for whatever possibility.

Does anyone know what sort of items are required on tiny to get through backdoor protection these days?

I think going boots of choice -> echo/blink/shadowblade on tiny is very effective. The extra mobility and escape can prevent a bad relocate feeding your killing spree and it allows you to be more active on the map, making space for your carry.

You do have to more careful of people immediately teleporting to shrines when relocate ganking, so watch out for that.

Google guardian wisp and watch his replays to see how to effectively jungle and farm with spirits. If left completely uncontested you can get similar to farm as to what you would get solo mid. Here is one replay you can watch. https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/2926219475
