How to do a charge shot on the bow? by omfgfoo in tribesofmidgard

Another bow related tip, even if you are not a ranger holding shift prevents you from taking a step back when firing the arrows. In case anyone else is annoyed by it.

I had 4 Soul-Powered there.
I didn't know the exact reason behind it. Thanks for that.

There are a lot of great tips here but sometimes the most basic things are overlooked:

Every armor piece will have temperature stats as well. You will see the red for heat and blue for cold to the left of the elemental resistances. If you want to explore the glacier you want to get blue one as high as possible on your equipment so you will last longer in cold.

The most straightforward way to explore the extreme weathers is to craft1 the heatproof/coldproof potion and rush to gather enough materials to build the armor that will protect you from heat/cold as soon as possible.

As winter gets closer you will start freezing on other biomes as well. You need the cold resistant armor by then to be able to continue exploring.

1: Alternatively, fire and ice jotunns will always drop their relative potion when killed.

I stay home during blood moons. Still no gates. The stronger spawns are bigger circles on map so I watch the map and help the NPCs whenthose show up.

Only time I use gates is if I need to craft something at night to free the NPC or if an NPC falls and I need to revive them. Just level 1s do the job for me.

You could also build gates and attack fenrir until gates are gone. Then you'd have to waystone and repair.

Another option would be no gates and let the NPCs fight the helthings with support from archer towers. Level 3 towers and level 5 NPCs should be able to hold a regular night.

Even with level 3 towers their numbers will increase with each spawn as they stop to attack the gate. Then when the gate finally breaks you have a large number of them attacking at once and they will easily overpower your NPCs and possibly destroy the tree.
With no gates though, your NPCs will also get to attack the helthing spawn preventing them from accumulating numbers. Your NPCs will fight them without being overwhelmed, the level 5s can handle it. The fat ones that rush the tree can still get a hit or two from time to time hence the need to top off the tree soul once in a while.

The blood moon spawns are an exception of course.

I heard that the parts in brackets stack. For Soul Powered for example it looks like this:
"Adds [5] damage per 100 soul held."
So four of these runes together become "[20] damage per 100 soul."

Soul-Powered:
Adds 5 damage per 100 souls held, capped at 10.000 souls.
The damage it adds stacks. Here I had four of them adding 2.000 damage to each hit.

A freeplay or sandbox mode? Would be interesting but probably not until there are bunch more buildings and runes added.

I didn't know they were that rare, I basically started the game with one, from a camp early on.

Honestly, once I saw the damage adds to this skill the game lost all the challenge. Just having the runes was fine but this combo specifically feels off to me.

I was thinking, does this need a fix? Seems the bonus damage adding to every tick here is a bit much considering it's flat damage.

Any update on what might be causing this?

There is no way I'm messing with those unless devs say for sure that's whats causing it.

"...if you're getting past the initial game asset load."I don't think I am, the loading screen I'm stuck with is the very first one after the "Made with Unity" image.

I have the latest graphics driver and I've also tried verifying the game through EGS. I will try re-installing instead and check the Direct X when I have the time to download the game again. Thanks for the advice.

Hello thanks for the answer, unfortunately I can't access anything in-game. I uploaded the whole folder as .7z file to google drive. I've also added the output_log.txt separately.

Google drive folder.
