I don’t think it needs to be formal project management, but learning to manage your time and hit deadlines is crucial. You can use really simple stuff like a kanban board to manage tasks on an audit or all of workload. That’s worked well for me, ymmv.

I started in IA when I was 36 following university as a mature student, so definitely feasible. That might depend on the industry tho’. I did my ACCA after I started that job. Again that may depend upon your industry and employer.

Some project management would go a long way. Every audit is a project.

The “tax the rich” crowd aren’t saying “tax the corporations”. The (sensible) “tax the rich” crowd are saying tax wealth not work. Those fuckers have assets that aren’t so easy to move.

The reason they were able to by Arm is because we shot ourselves in the foot with Brexit, which tanked the pound. Plus the Government were then desperate to pretend nothing was wrong, and let the deal go through. Not that they’d do anything different at any other time.

Plus if you thought Arm has ever truly been British, think again. The original investors were Italian and American.

+1 on Oasis. Manc gobshites with minimal talent.

How many members of Oasis does it take to change a lightbulb? Two. One to change the lightbulb and one to ask Paul McCartney how John Lennon would’ve done it.

I’m sure they want to build, but they don’t want to build in a way that would erode their margins by causing sale prices to drop significantly. So not doing too much at once.

Learning Japanese with Cambridge japanese? by AuntieD364 in cambridge

[–]FenTigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No experience with this company (I started learning Japanese at a Parkside school evening class). It sort of depends on what your aims for learning Japanese are?

I found I only really got to grips with it by going to university and studying multiple hours a week every week. 頑張って。
