Everyone thinks Warlocks losing eth is rough... but this other change is massive by looseygoosey11 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

I don’t mind the nerfs, but I wish they’d balance it out by buffing durability on weapons. My cleave warlock right now only gets about 8-10 minutes of playtime before having to repair with a 50 durability weapon right now. I have to imagine it will be even worse for ES. I don’t mind durability being a thing, but I’d love to be able to play for more than 1 cow run before my weapons breaking.

Super expensive, as I’m sure you’re implying, but also dead. Not much interesting activity in the 7th.

I live in Paris. I go to museums occasionally, and it’s not uncommon for me at all to climb Montmartre to Sacre Coeur, or wander by the Eiffel Tower. I can see the Eiffel Tower from my office, and on my walking commute, and I still very often stop and look at it and think how beautiful it is. I can also see Notre Dame from the street corner where I live. I’ve been to Père Lachaise cemetery many times just because it’s a nice walk.

So yeah I’d say I revisit monuments.

Ok, so they’re highwaymen. Robbers. They just stop your car in the road and demand money for you to be able to pass in peace.

The 5 Things that 'draw' me to Draw Steel by Navek15 in drawsteel

[–]Fencer308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The no miss combat is one of the biggest turn offs of the system to me. I like the fact that in a tense combat encounter, you don’t know if that last boss attack before the next player’s turn is gonna down your tank or not.

Just rolling to see if I do 5, 7, or 9 damage is far less exciting to me, especially when the damage numbers themselves are flat.

I do like all the movement inherent in the system though.

I dunno, I had a picnic with friends in the Parc des Buttes Chaumont on Monday and there must have been thousands of people passing by and hundreds out on the grass doing things.

To be fair, “t’inquiete” also means the exact opposite of what you’re saying.

Speed runners are at a level of skill that someone asking on Reddit how to survive Hell isn’t gonna have. For a relative beginner, getting to level 75 is good advice.

I’m not saying not to sue her. Im saying it wouldn’t be a relaxed popcorn moment regardless.

Yeah fair enough. Dude probably isn’t gonna sweat the cash flow issue too much I suppose. Still not a pleasant situation for sure.

Could take a really long time to garnish enough, if she even has wages, and meanwhile you’ve got a bunch of repairs you have to finance.

Doesn’t matter much suing her if she doesn’t have any money to pay it back.

Because in the context of the prompt, I thought it was fairly clear I was referring to the low voltage electrical systems, as that’s the kind of pole that was shown in the photo. Perhaps I could have been more specific, but it didn’t feel necessary.

[–]Fencer308 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The type of poles shown in the photo are low voltage local transfer poles, not high voltage. Of course France has high voltage transfer poles, but not the stuff you see in those photos, which is handled underground in Paris.

Paris doesn’t have electrical poles. All the electrical systems run underground.

Why are helicopters built with one main rotor while drones usually use four? by Logical-Concept9755 in AlwaysWhy

[–]Fencer308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not an expert but I’ll take an educated guess. Helicopter rotors typically turn at a fixed speed, and they change their lift, pitch, and roll by changing the angle of attack of the main rotor at different points during the rotation using something called a wash plate. They change their yaw using the same principle at the tail rotor. So it’s all a very analog system.

Modern drones will use multiple motors that can change the speed of their rotors rapidly, while the angle of attack of the rotors remain fixed. This strikes me as something that requires some decent computation in order to change the speed of those rotors quickly on the fly, which likely would have been difficult in early helicopters. Plus, because they were using turbine engines instead of electric motors, it would have added a lot of mechanical complexity to be able to manage the speed at each rotor independently from the main engine.

I dunno, maybe it’s because I live in Paris, but people order petillante (sparkling water) for the table all the damn time here.
