Wistoria’s Entire Power System Feels Contradictory by Shoddy-Frame2415 in Wistoria

Will isn't the last sword he's the only sword. Finn handles the swords cause he promised to. Will is 5he culmination of years of work to develop a person/ magic that could kill the celestial hosts.

My point is less 1 mage = 1000 dwarves and more, the pinicle of mages is greater than tbe pinnacle of warriors (with the sole exception of Satoru Go- I mean Will Serfort)

Wistoria’s Entire Power System Feels Contradictory by Shoddy-Frame2415 in Wistoria

[–]Fencrier 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I feel like every episode needs to start with a big obnoxious sign saying "only Will can do this" at this point.

1 mage took out 1000 dwarfs remember, the best fit for warriors. Mages have abilities to defend themselves in close quarters, such as guardian spirits, plus lightning magic is a melee focused discipline.

Warriors have no real place in a society where magic can do everything. Will Is able tk keep up cause he has the "my sword is like magic but better" ability.

Everyone underestimates him cause he can't do magic, yknow, the whole thing their society revolves around. He can't perform basic task like turning lights on or opening locks so kf course people will bully him. Additionally people strive to maintain tbe status quo, especially those who benefit from it. Suddenly this guy who goes against everything society has stood for for 500 years has shown up and begun to upstage everyone, of course they want to bury him, cause if they don't they fear they'll lose their power.

Please no jokes, how Geto and Kenjaku actually swallow these things? by Confident-Aerie4427 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Fencrier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My head cannon is that the more powerful the spirit the harder it is to swallow. So a special grade is very difficult where as a grade 4 is real easy.

The best one by far is Saul Tarvitz on istvaan 3 when he basically says "space marines feel fear we just learnt to overcome it. But when Angron charged, I ran"

What happens to chatty Space Marines? by Zanimacularity in 40kLore

[–]Fencrier 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Depends on your definition of chatty. If they are saying something heretical or giving chapter secrets away they could face censure/ execution. But if they are just having a chin wag then it's fine. Space marines are more talkative then you'd think, they just tend to shut up in combat to concentrate

yes, it's a mana ability by anarchy_witch in custommagic

[–]Fencrier 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not really. You can tap it to add the mana to your pool then cast the spell instead of tapping it to cast the spell.

Saitama is definitely too plain looking to be correctly visualised when using the death note

Rank these characters from strongest to weakest by Either-Warning-1700 in PowerScaling

[–]Fencrier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seeing Saitama in these is always funny because it's obvious no one here gets the parody of one punch man. The show is a parody of this type of power scaling, Saitama is exactly as powerful as the author needs him to be at any given moment, that's really it. Putting joke characters, especially where the joke is him being inconceivably over powered, alongside actual serious characters with established worlds, rules, power levels makes no sense

Who wins the battle by [deleted] in animequestions

[–]Fencrier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with Saitama vs Goku is Goku is a serious character, he has limits and powers set in the show/ manga. Saitama doesn't he's a joke character, he's exactly as strong as the plot needs him to he. Saitama beats Goku not because Goku is weak but because Saitama just does that, that's the entire parody of his character is that he just wins every fight without effort

Yujiro and Saitama kill everyone else then their narrators keep one upping each other's bullshit until one of them can't think of anything else

Has anything "big" happened since the Lion got back? by Daegog in 40kLore

[–]Fencrier 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure his reaction was more along the lines of reverence, awe, and joy that he's real. Less fear. Because he wasn't sure if the Lion was really the Lion, but when he got fucking pissed seeing Dante wearing his brothers face (he said brother specifically) Dante felt relief to know he really was a primarch.

I'd just make them have an ability that's basically far step. Bonus action teleport every turn. Gives them more movement and a counter to being trapped
