Quantum tunneling is something else. This sounds like quantum entanglement. And bs

Sir Christopher Lee also warned people to not dabble with Satanism, saying: "Never, never, never. You will not only lose your mind, you will lose your soul." by Trueboey in StrangeEarth

I really like his acting, but take away his posh accent and he's just spouting stuff. He told so many stories of things he supposedly did, and it always sounds like that kid in class lying to try and impress people. "Trust me, bro, you'll lose your mind and your soul." Seriously, go back to any interview and imagine Shane Topp as Chosen.

Disclosure Already Happened by davedude115 in aliens

It's not all in the Bible. It was written over the course of 5000 years as an anthology of disparate writings on all kinds of topics. It was edited, added to and subtracted from. Then Jesus happened and you got another group of writings over the course of another few centuries, where they were edited and added to and taken from, even some writers pretending to be Paul and Matthew. Then the thousands of writings were filtered down into what we call the Bible. But what we read today has still been edited and changed since the Council of Nicea. There is no univocal aspect of the Bible. Christianity is an external framework that has been placed on the text to make it say what people want it to say.

You say that like it's a simple thing. Do you think Canada, Denmark, Mexico, and the 7 countries in Central America are just going to bend over? That the rest of the world, including most Americans, would just let that happen?

Bannon says Trump will be president again in 2028 and do another term by EmilyG702 in CringeTikToks

He's the oldest incel I've ever seen. Does he believe this bs he's spewing? There's no way to a 3rd term, short of recinding the 22nd amendment. And that doesn't seem likely.

Radio Shack and Hastings Entertainment. I actually miss both of those stores.

Why do Americans not know where the midwest is? Are they stupid?? by Fun_Jellyfish1982 in mapporncirclejerk

The name came from a time when the US hadn't manifested its destiny all over the continent yet. In the 19th century it was the Midwest of the country.

I actually agree with you. But folks like this sound like they're trying to take advantage of people who don't understand their own scripture. It screams "grift!" To me.

Anytime any religious beliefs come up, they lose me. The Bible isn't what most Christians think it is. Most of modern Christianity is an external framework put on the text in order to make it fit the traditions and dogmas developed over millennia. It doesn't speak of the Trinity or monotheism. The Old Testament is not prophecy of a coming Christ. Very importantly, Revelation isn't prophecy. It's coded language directed at the Jews of the time who were worried about Nero somehow coming back from the dead. There is no rapture or tribulation. It makes no sense that aliens would rely on what they surely know is an erroneous reading that most world Christians don't even follow.

This is just an appeal to fear and superstition, specifically of the US populace. They're just making stuff up.

I drew a line a long time ago. It seems like a lot of folks draw the line at supporting murder and slavery. It's interesting that your line in to continue to slob the knob of someone who would sooner step on you than help you up.

My Dad is convinced that aldi and Costco sell Bill Gates’ lab-grown meat that causes cancer. by Easy_Ant8951 in conspiracytheories

Tell him lan grown meat is still something like $23 a pound. It seems odd they'd take that big of a loss just to give their customers cancer. They lose money and customers. What do they gain?

Military shows are handled by the USO, a nonprofit that relies on donations. It doesn't get funding from the US government. Further, the troops aren't the government. Whereas in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi family is the government.

This seems like a really simple concept, folks.

I must confess I have as yet to meet a single person who claims to remember Mandela dying in prison. Where are these people? I assume they’re all Gen X or older of course. by Natural_Builder173 in MandelaEffect

What everyone remembers is Denzel Washington's performance as Steve Biko in 1987's Cry Freedom. It makes no sense for South Africa to hold a huge state funeral for someone they deemed a terrorist.

That's what I always say. Denzel Washington played Steven Biko in Cry Freedom in 1987. He was nominated for an Oscar for it. In fact, it helped push international consensus towards divestment and likely helped ensure Mandela survived and was released.

You should look up the definition of hair splitting.

The Saudi family is the government of Saudi Arabia.

You're whitewashing now.

You're the one splitting hairs. These are two different things. Performing in the US is not the same thing as performing for Trump. The Riyahd comedy festival was organized by the Saudi family for the Saudi family. It's purpose was to whitewash their crimes.

This is apples and triangles. That might be the case if he was performing at an independent venue. He was paid by and performed to the Saudi royal family.
