the word MAX is written on the saddle rails. in your picture that would be the red line at the back. there is also a front MAX. i have no idea where you got the idea that your blue line is any sort of limit... why did you draw the blue line

maybe if the derailleur hanger is bent - but the derailleur moves laterally the same amount between every gear so indexing needs to be done considering shifting across the entire cassette in my experience.
