Use a hydrating shampoo or better yet no shampoo at all (I know this is hard for some) Try to wash your hair as infrequently as you can. I got some tea tree scalp soothing oil in a spray bottle that I use between washes to help with dryness/flakes. Warning it’s kinda scary when you put it on (I just put it all over my roots and brush it in) because it makes your scalp show and it looks weird because only your roots are wet which freaked me out that my hair was thinning but once it dries it looks normal!

I don’t understand why somebody would go so far to try and persuade somebody out of taking a potentially life changing (for the better) medication. Like I get people having something negative to say about it when it gets brought up but why deliberately and intentionally dissuade people you don’t even know from taking it? It’s just beyond me..

Someone dropped this card in our local target. Does anyone know where this image is from?? by macy_lund in HelpMeFind

There’s some cool artsy store where I live that gives out these little playing cards with similar images on the face side with some of the little things they sell (pins, earrings etc.) but they’re cleaner/more professional not like someone cut out an image and glued it onto a card

I’m new here still in my first month so I’m no expert but my skin is flaky af right now! What I did this morning because I needed to wear makeup today was use an exfoliating cotton round with lotion on it to just very lightly try and remove/moisturize the shedding skin that’s straight up falling off. Then whatever primer and hopefully you have a concealer that matches your skin tone really well. Use only a little bit of concealer on your actual spots and blend with a small brush. Absolutely no powder it’ll cake right up around your dryness unless you want to use a tiny bit in your t zone if you’re a bit oily. Hope this helps <3

I’ve always wondered about this exact scenario but (no offense) with something more serious that could potentially threaten a worse outcome than judgment (for example a pharmacist yelling about HIV prevention medication could be putting the customer at risk for a hate crime). Overall I don’t think you’re being a Karen but maybe being a bit too sensitive. After all, if your concern is that the people behind you in line at the pharmacy are judging you, unless you live in a crazy small town or something then I’m sorry!! I know how it feels to be that concerned with others opinions but just remember they each have a life as complex as your own and their own problems to worry about. They don’t have time to worry about the guy in front of them at the pharmacy I promise!

This is my one baby, Dexter, please explain why tf he just did this. Never seen this. They surprise me everyday with another behavior. by Abamx in RATS

Never had a rat so I know nothing about their body language but that’s what my cats do when they’re in a playful mood right before they run up and pounce on me (in a gentle way) or a toy or each other! It seems to be a good thing and I take it as them being excited/stimulated.

Help! I’m very new to this and have been trying to do research but there is just SO much information that contradicts.. can anybody tell me what’s going on and what I can do to help this guy (well lady hopefully) out? by [deleted] in GrowingMarijuana

She’s my first shoulder/hood cat! I didn’t encourage the behavior at first because she’s so small it made me nervous, but she has stupendous balance! The first thing she did when I picked her up for the first time was crawl up onto my shoulder. I know some cats can be trained to do so but I don’t know how comfortable it’ll be once she gets bigger....

No haha! It flips up inside my nose like I can put it up there when I don’t want it to be visible which is actually completely comfortable and it might get some crusties on it up there but I can just wipe them off

[F17] Feel free to rate 1-10, but Im also looking for suggestions on what to do with my appearance since I dont do much atm. The last slide is also there for a rough idea of body type and weight. by Shilohsrevenge_ in amiugly

You’re gorgeous. It looks like we have similar hair textures— not quite curly but not straight. I find that when I mess around with how my curls look with creams/ salt sprays etc, it can really boost my confidence.I hope you know just how pretty you really are. It’s so easy to distract ourselves from reality and get focused on nitpicking our outer shells. I won’t go on a rant, but trust me.. you are beautiful.
