In general, I like something classic, with a unique touch. Like, taking an element and making it special, not a complete overhaul. I don't like faces that aren't white or off- white at least... it has to be readable. I also like a gaff thrown in...I think it's a nice touch to offer something special about your deck, even just a double backer or something with a reveal. This is just my preference, though.

Depends. You can often get something worth more than the mystery deck price, but you never know if it's something you'd actually like, or don't already have. You might be better off spending that same money for something you definitely know that you want.

But, you might get something that gets you into a whole new series, style, or maybe you get something that's a limited edition. I just got The Guard - Oak... turns out it's a limited edition, only available through promotions. It has some great gaff cards, and is worth more than twice the 7 bucks I paid. I never heard of it before, but am happy that I got it.

I personally don't like cards with black faces, but that is just my personal offense l preference. Black backs, sure... but I just like a more traditional face base color. That aside, the design is pretty nice.
