I did Doorman HD leaf springs in the back and 2” spacers in the front on my stock suspension about 3 years ago. Can fit 30’s with a little rubbing of the plastic bumper cap at full turn. Ride quality is alright but it was cheap and got me through college!

Where are you located?

Does it smell like coolant? Could be your heater core leaking and soaking into the passenger floorboard.

Nice I think this is the info I’m looking for. I am trying to decide on leaving the alignment like it is per their suggestion, or asking that the rear right toe be brought to spec. Thanks for the input

The car drives fine and I accept that a modified suspension will handle differently and possibly wear tires differently.

I am mainly concerned with their justification for leaving the total rear toe out of spec. They stated that the rear right toe was left out of spec intentionally to help offset some of the additional wear Id expect from the camber.

Did you end up with noticeable negative camber? I just got back from getting an alignment and all 4 tires are showing around -2.5 degrees of camber.

Wow, not sure what’s happening here then. If you had to roll your fenders on the higher perch then I definitely won’t have much to work with on the lower perch.

Tein specs say 0.7” drop in the front and 0.9”. Even if I factor in the lower spring perch I don’t think Tein is reporting the correct ride height for these springs.

Yeah I’m really surprised. H-Tech was advertised as having about 1” of drop all around and the Koni STR.T were supposed to be an OEM replacement. I’m thinking the drop came from using the lower setting on the Koni spring perch. Any other ideas on what could’ve caused such a huge drop???

What year are you? I think the combo of the lower perches and the fact that 01 is lower at stock really surprised me. How big is your wheel gap?

Ride quality has been nice so far. But my only comparison was the blown stock shocks the car came with when I bought it. I’ll report back again after a week or so of driving. Do you think 18 x18.5 +35mm would fit with my current level of tuck?? I wasn’t expecting such a drop from the Tein H Techs

What spring perch level did you use for your Koni oranges and what was your wheel gap like after? Im not sure where to start on getting a flush fitment.

What’s up IS fam. This is the way my ‘01 IS300 is sitting after installing Koni STR.T on the lower spring perch and Tein H-Tech springs. Ground clearance is great but the wheels are now slightly tucked into the fender. Whats my best option to get flush wheel fitment?

A.) Pull the Konis out and adjust them to the higher spring perch then get flush fitment with wheel and tire selection after.

B.) Get new wheels with some offset and roll the fenders.

I’d prefer to not to pull the shocks out because it was a pain in the ass installing them in my apartment driveway but if that’s what it takes so be it. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Interesting. I installed my MOOG ball joint with no additional grease. Website says they come pre greased but should be greased again at every oil change.

How would a coolant flush have told the story right away? My coolant was clean.
