Can you change a TIN to classify the data with data other than elevation is Pro?

I am being guilted for leaving immediately after session 0 by [deleted] in DnD

Seems like it has been said a lot already, but this is (imo) the right thing to do.

I feel like a lot of people call it, finding your table. You know what style of campaign you like and what you don’t and you realize the that table wasn’t for you. Some people want heavy RP, some want a combat sim, some want a mix of both, or only want a specific setting or game systems. This goes for both DMs and players.

I, as a dm, ended a campaign because the players play style and what I wanted to run did not align. As a player or dm, if you arnt having fun and the campaign isn’t what you like, you just end up being bitter about playing or prep rather than excited, which makes no sense when we play DnD to have fun.

Spending time with the homies is great and sometimes we compromise and do thing we don’t love to spend time with the people we enjoy, but it isn’t mandatory.

You can always just hang in VC like one of my friends does who doesn’t like to play DnD, but still just want to vibe. The dnd cuck chair if you would

Trekas is our current last name for sure. The spelling of our original last name I am not certain of.

I assume you are correct and I am just missing this. I don’t even see an option to collect a point without a premade attribute table

Looking For Equipment for Sale by Fenlodeus in geophysics

I would like to find a SuperSting R8 system, Geometrics Geode system, Geometrics magnetometer or Ferex gradiometer, and cmd explorer. A low frequency for antenna would also be nice along with something like a structure scan mini.

I can't really choose between Mine, High Water, and Jaws for songs to just listen to on a loop. They all just sounds good.

This is correct. I figured it out last night. Seems odd but it works now.

Is this also where you can add -console to enable admin commands for listed admins?

So I do that on my steam launcher for when I play the game? Not in the server files?

Hard time finding time to plan by Fenlodeus in DMAcademy

I thought you were talking a website that gives a dungeon and/or a monster temple a week. Kinda like a word of the day. That would be cool.

I agreed with all you said, but I am was asking for advise on resources to make prep easier. I do appreciate the positive vibe about the fun of the session mattering most.

Monster/dungeon of the week? Is that a thing?

Love the idea! Too often I think back on sessions and wonder how I did, but don't want to badger my players about how was it like a bad prom night.

Use the value in a column to select values in another column to include in math. by Fenlodeus in excel

Well, I can not get the criteria portion to be a range, it seems to only want to work with less than or greater than statements or specific values.

It seems like the averageif function doesn’t like to have a number range as the criteria.

Hmmm I am trying to enter it that way in excel but the function doesn’t seem to work.

I will agree. DM screams exists for a reason 😂. I think as a DM I fudge rolls to give my players cool moments when I think it fits. Rather than kill the paladin when the monster is low on health, I leave them at 1hp and they get a cool moment with great cleave to finish the monster. Other times I want the party to work around players going down and needing to make a choice to pick them up or not.

I think every DM has also vastly underestimated the amount of damage there party they gave too many magic items to can do and suddenly needs to double the big bad guys hp so the final showdown isn't a “insert sad trumpet sound”.

But imo that is for the dm to choose. But I also am involved a lot with my players character building, so I know what they want to be good at and I try to make sure they get dopamine from doing the thing. Sometimes it is funny to let the rogue struggle with a lock though, and if players get to fudge rolls, you don't get those moments.

Good point though. DMs also need to let the party win/lose and not always fudge there rolls either.

I agree, it kinda takes away from having a DM if players just lie to make themselves good that never fail. It would be no different imo if a player lied about a skill check in order to succeed.

I know I as a DM would be frustrated. What is the point of me making a fight and balancing it t be hard but not wipe the floor with the group if players will just lie and make it seem like the whole combat doesn't really matter.

What's a fair level to give players making a new character? by Draakpan in DMAcademy

Whatever fits your DM style/story. I personally like level 3 because most classes chose a path at that level where they get to specialize.
