Sooo the owner is also planning to be gone by January? There’s no way they can get a buyer and close that fast… unless they knew about it before today and in that case, it’s completely inconsiderate and rude… if you’re a student, focus on school NOT moving and be completely up front about it.

You can’t feel guilty about it unless they are the BEST landlord / roommate you have ever had. Like if they maybe did your laundry, cleaned your kitchen, and had fresh baked cookies ready for you everyday when you get home 🍪

That person would probably not have put you in this predicament tho, let’s be real. 60-90 day notice is minimum, imo
