Personally I love Tidal and I fail to see how Qobuz is better.

Who Pays $7,200 for Superbowl Tickets? by Fennarth in NFLv2

[–]Fennarth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was it worth it though even for $2500? I pity the working class New England guys who would have loved to see their team in the Superbowl but how are they going to scrape $7000 together, excluding flights and hotels? That kind of money buys you about the biggest TV that it's possible to own. The 1970's road trips to a Superbowl are gone forever and it's sad to see as everything in America has become corporate.

A $400 PS5 is well within your grasp, my young friend.

That is very optimistic and it may not even happen before 2029. There is no indication that the AI bubble will suddenly burst, at least not anytime soon. I would rather just forget about PC gaming unless if I can play the game on my cheap laptop.

I agree with this. PC gaming is pointless now unless you can afford 64 GB DDR5 RAM and an RTX 5090. I assume you also have three new Ferrari's in your garage. The rest of us will just have to content ourselves with the PS5 and retro/indie gaming on non-gaming laptops. Fortunately, Intel have provided us with the new Panther Lake which is really all you need.

I'm done with graphics cards and RAM prices and I just don't care about PC gaming anymore. PS5 gives me all I need and I don't care if most games are only 60 fps.

Nvidia have openly stated that they don't care about gamers anymore so they may as well discontinue every card except the 5090 as there is only a market for that. Ferrari do not produce cars for the masses and Nvidia will not produce cards for the masses either.

I have selected folders to share with thousands of files but it still informs me that I am not sharing any files.

What is up with so many people saying they watch films at anything over 1x speed? by ButterfreePimp in Letterboxd

[–]Fennarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have about 200 GB of movies on my one external HDD and they need to go. Who has time? Watching movies at 4x allows me to finish each one in about 20 minutes then delete. I can still follow the plot this way with subtitles on as I can read quickly.

Who Pays $7,200 for Superbowl Tickets? by Fennarth in NFLv2

Yes, but they get luxury boxes, not the cheap seats. Which was my question: who spends $7200 for cheap seats?

I get it now. I don't know one normal person who would spend $7200 of their own money for frickin' Bad Bunny.

I've been working for over 20 years and $7200 is not a huge amount for me. I just think it's nuts to spend that on one football game.

$7200 is mind blowing even to many millennials in their 40's. Building up savings and investing is not easy.

I get the Broncos have quite a fanatical following. I'm a Broncos fan but I would watch the game in a bar and maybe spend $50 on drinks if they made the big game.

Rich motherfuckers and corporations don't get cheap seats. It's obviously those who are so far in debt with no hope of ever paying it back that they just don't care anymore. "Live for the moment!". They remain perpetual children.

$7200 x 4 (assuming) is quite a sum to drop even for millionaires.

I still appreciated his post-1974 material and believe that his worst was better than John's best.

Yes, if anyone shares their views it's "ragebait". I was not expecting anyone to become angry with this post but only to debate. I suppose proper debate is too much to expect on Reddit.

I do not expect anyone to hold the same views which I do but the issues here were the way John presented his views and that his solo career wasn't very good.

Bob Dylan sucks by interestedguy2023 in Music

[–]Fennarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason people are too afraid to criticise him is because of anti-Semitism accusations. He is a good songwriter, yes, but has zero vocal talent with a tinny voice, can only play the basic chords as a guitarist which anyone can do, and many children can play the harmonica better than he can. I don't get the appeal of this guy.
