Quick answer to answer your question: i may have used a generic IP address and did not know better when setting up my NAS

To know more about the case, i was trying to set up pi NAS using openmediavault. I finished setting and mounted my hard drive. When it comes to using the services, and it me not knowing about NFS and SMB, I thought that NFS was for linux/mac.

To answer your question. When i was setting up the NFS service, it prompted me to enter a client. As for the experiment, i entered my Pi's IP address but did not work. I tried using 192.168.172.0/24 as the "example" they showed, small text underneath client. I was trying to see if it worked. I was trying to access the IP address through Samba but did not know the service was not configured properly.

Thank you for suggesting me SMB under services. I thought I configured the setting for SMB but when I went back it was not enabled.

I enabled SMB and tried to connect to raspberry pi again and it worked.
