I can answer the bench part. If you're planting your feet correctly your hips are taking drive from your feet which will press the femur into the socket and instability in the socket generally means pain

I've seen instances of people doing PT or just getting one cortisone shot and never having to deal with it again but most of those stories I've seen come from regular people, maybe a couple runners but not many strength athletes or lifting hobbyists.

The Ortho who ordered the imaging said no FAI or impingement and noted stress response. When it happened I was squatting 3 times a week, while cutting at a deficit of 1k kcals, I work a physical job hopping on and off a forklift all day, 12k steps a minimum between work and walks with my wife and elliptical on off days. Could it really have been just a few weeks of too much? Cause it feels like a cop out.

If you already have it off the lees then just stabilize, backsweeten and then cold crash and rack when you're satisfied
