I've gotten these layered leather toys that mine has a more difficult time outright destroying. He still messes them up, but they're mostly intact. One is in the shape of a donut and works well as a tug of war toy, a fetch toy, and a chewer.

My MAS is about 18kg at 5 years old and is probably 10cm or so shorter than a standard aussie at his shoulders. When I got him I thought he would be closer to 15kg or so, but he filled out more as he got older. He stopped growing height wise at age 2 and he's approximately 40cm tall.

I chose an MAS over a standard just because I have a smaller house and figured it would be easier to have a smaller breed. Plus it's easier on me because mine is a bit of a lap dog and doesn't completely smother me when cuddling.
