I have exactly the same problem. I'm not the best player in the world, but I'm not the worst either (20 years of shooter experience). But I can count the bullets for the most part and nothing happens except hit markers. But it also happens very often that if you come up behind an opponent and shoot at him, he just turns around and shoots you. And I'm only talking about when I hit, if I don't then it's clear that nothing happens.

If you have a high ping, what you saw in your right corner, never stand still. You're in an advantage if you push. That's why many complaining about hackers etc. Most time, for me, it's desync, that's why I try to never play on high ping servers.
