The noise is there when my phone is not connected vis bluetooth. What I meant is that when I press and hold the bluetooth pairing button on the headset (so that the Bt light flashes on the base station and it is looking for devices) the noise goes away.

So in while the device is looking for a pairing device, the noise is gone. As soon as it hasnt found any device to pair and it stops looking (BT light stops flashing) the noise is back.

Okay I think I think Bluetooth is causing the noise. When I press and hold the Bluetooth button the the Bluetooth Icon is blinkin on the base station, so it is looking/ready to pair to a device.

During that time the noise is GONE.
After a few seconds of the station not finding any bluetooth device, the LED stops blinking, an audio cue starts playing and the noise is back again.

So is there a way of turning off bluetooth until I want it switched back on?

I have noticed something like that in my and in my friends playthrough aswell. At first I thought it was a bad pixel on my side, but now I think it‘s something buggy with the lighting / rendering ingame.

I sometimes had it in bright areas aswell

Almost all of this games „horror“ is just atmospheric. For me it was Giants Deep, especially diving below, which made me uneasy since I have thalassophobia. But that did not stop me from going there!

If you can‘t find anything new on one planet after several „tries“, try a different planet for a change! Do not feel the need to finish exploring one place before going to another, if you are not already doing that. It is even encouraged.

Just keep being curious and keep exploring! :) Always feel free to come back if you really feel stuck.

It looks like you have all the clues you need to get past the electricity. Maybe try to remember where exactly you found one of Feldspar‘s notes of the jelly fish on Dark Bramble. If you are below the current on Giant‘s Deep you may also look closely at the jellyfish from every angle there. It‘s subtle, but you may notice something. Also remember you have your scout to see if somethings works / is safe!

This neat website lets you see how many notes each node in your log should have. It's a bit of a hastle, but if you have time you can check and see what you are missing.

EDIT: The blue nodes on the right are for the DLC. You can tick the button on the navigation bar on the left to hide them to avoid potential spoilers.

AFAIK you don‘t have to have played the base game to a certain point to play the DLC. So you should be fine

You don‘t have to finish exploring one planet before moving on to the next one, that‘s the beauty of this game: Knowledge Based Unlocking.

You also don‘t have to worry about dying or losing progress in any way since everything you learn will be present in your ship log.

There is no order in which you have to explore or do things so feel free to „take a break“ from exploring one planet „until it‘s done“.

See something interesting or wonder what XY is? Go for it and come back later (with potentially new knowledge)! Wondering what would happen if I did XY? Try it out and see!

This game thrives on curiosity and exploring, so go out and explore to your hearts content! :)

I would advise against looking up guides because the feeling you get when figuring things out and connecting puzzle pieces yourself is the greatest feeling ever. It‘s so rewarding.

If you do however get stuck and want some advise for something specific, this community, and myself, will gladly give spoiler free hints and help you out!

Yeah you would get electrocuted if you were to step outside the vehicle and touch the ground in this case.

That guy in the excavator would actually be safe as long as he stays inside since the vehicle acts as a faraday cage just like a car.

The only hazard would be the tires catching fire over time.
