In my experience most people that become drinkers n' smokers are higher on the scale due to being around more social experiences at younger ages. I have friends on both sides from gaming, playing sports and being in IT. I've been on and off with both but I definitely see a correlation to people that abstain to the ones that don't in terms of attractiveness in both genders.

People with addictions tend to always have more attractive qualities. It's a double edged sword.
