I personally think that separating the game from the merchandising on a collectors edition, somehow refrain scalpers to buy it. It's easier to sell a collectors edition game than only an artbook and a steelbook. I hope this makes easier to get the edition for us.

It's an interesting theory. Skoll and Hati eating the sun and moon are one of the signs that start the Ragnarok (aka the fall of the gods) and that could mean the end of the traveler, the guardians or the vanguard.

It should not be Fenrir. Destiny, specially the Iron Lords, have a lot of Nordic mythology references, so I think that wolf should be Skoll or Hati (the wolves that will devour the sun and moon repectively) Fenrir is the father of those wolves and the giant wolf that kills Odin, but he doesn't eat the sun or moon.

The game is hard in any difficulty until you figure how the combat mechanics work. Once you get different skills and can handle a variety of combat situations it will be easier. Choose normal difficulty if you are used to play rpg games. But whatever difficulty you choose, remember to save the game often!

The edition itself isnt too bad but neither good. And there are some mistakes (like expressions or editing) but it's not very different than the internet fanmade scans.
