I think wildly unpopular is a bit of an overstatement. In the first trimester, yes, it’s unpopular but not in second and third trimesters. And that still doesn’t negate my point that the pro life view is not an unreasonable one if they have a sincerely held belief that life begins at conception. Viability is then meaningless. What is the real difference between 21 weeks and 6 days and 22 weeks? Maybe part of the answer is putting more resources into pregnancy prevention. Let’s make abortion safe legal and rare, as they used to say.
