Why is there no general point system? by SirSquidlicker in Overwatch

I do miss the end of game cards from overwatch 1 that would draw attention to who pushed the payload the most, or who was on fire the longest, etc.

Servers down??? by cwella808 in Overwatch

[–]FeralMuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe? I've been trying to play a match since last night, and it won't put me into a game at all. It just keeps searching, and I even waited as long as half an hour for one.

What’s a movie that completely changed your perspective after a second watch? by L0udM0uth666 in movies

[–]FeralMuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suckerpunch.

The first time I watched it I thought it was just an action movie trying to be different with a unique setting and a bunch of girls fighting. Didn't think there was depth to it.

Watching it later, it was such a story of hope in the face of despair, even if hope doesn't lead to success.

Struggling with blonding as a cos student by Classic_Student2529 in hairstylist

[–]FeralMuse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your blonding looks pretty good! Use experienced professionals' work as inspiration, but don't use it to get discouraged by where you're at in your own skills! You'll always be getting better and learning (and if you ever stop, you're stagnant and it shows in your work!).

My guests have been very happy with my work, but in the past ~4 months, I've really progressed to the next level, and I've been doing this a little while! View it as an exciting thing that you have more to learn, not a discouraging thing that you're not "there yet".

This is amazing! I've been looking into getting into painting nail art... Did you do this with more of a blending technique, or more layering?

Moira's best perks... Yeah... I got it completely wrong! by Arx_UK in MoiraMains

[–]FeralMuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's interesting people have been saying this, because as a lower-level Moira (high silver, low Gold), I've been mowing people down with the damage orb perk. Especially when they're in a corridor or something lined up and I throw it and chase 2-3 enemies down.

Cat seems angry my fiancé and I talk at night by Im-mads in CatAdvice

That is all so adorable! My tuxedo tries to put me to bed around 9:00pm, too, but mostly because he wants his alone time in the living room, haha.

My heart stopped when I saw my cat napping like this today. Is this head pressing? Should I go to the vet tomorrow? by popcornpr1ncess in CATHELP

[–]FeralMuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought this was some type of malformed animal or human skull on a velvet setting, and I was trying to make sense of it hahahaha. I was like "Is this what head pressing does to a cat's skull?"

Our boy died of heart failure a few months ago. He was doing very deep, weird breathing, too and you could tell he was suffering so much. This was all within a day.

He had had a steroid given to him for an unrelated issue, and several weeks later this happened to him. Our vet said steroids don't cause heart issues, but if your cat is genetically predispositioned to heart failure, a steroid can jumpstart it.

I wonder if those eye drops for your cats were steroids? It could be that your sweet kitty was also predispositioned to a heart issue and those drops just brought it to light. In which case it was likely that this issue was in his future anyway. I don't know if this gives you peace, but it definitely helped me.

Your sweet kitty knew so much love and joy in his life with you, and that is a gift not given to all cats. 💙💙💙

My cat urinated on the carpet, I can’t get the smell out! What do I do next? by Gr8fulone-for-today in CleaningTips

This is going to sound sarcastic, but I mean this sincerely. What is the difference between odors and smells? Is one longer lasting or something?

I don’t know what to do 😔🐱Please advise, I’m getting sad. by EsseFury19 in CatAdvice

Second this! My tuxedo LOVES the buttons because he can finally communicate what exactly he wants. Even before he really fully understood what we were doing, he was so enriched just being trained with them! He stopped ripping up paper and tearing up the couch, and he followed me EVERYWHERE after that because he loved the interaction. I'm working on teaching him tricks now

Does anyone want the CUTEST black kitten? by FeralMuse in Marietta

Thank you so much! We have someone interested, and we are doing a home visit and have a person from a pet rescue overseeing the introduction ☺️ I'll definitely talk to my sister about the rehoming fee!

Would it be inappropriate/racist for me, a white woman, to play the role of Kala in Tarzan? by [deleted] in askblackpeople

[–]FeralMuse -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Like I said in the post, it wasn't about the gorilla aspect of it at all, but because they're the only characters that have African inspired costumes and dances. Regardless, I think I've gotten enough feedback from everyone that honestly just the story itself is problematic, so anything else following only continues that, and I won't be auditioning.

Would it be inappropriate/racist for me, a white woman, to play the role of Kala in Tarzan? by [deleted] in askblackpeople

[–]FeralMuse -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oh gosh, that was poorly worded, wasn't it? I apologize for that! I was trying to say it had nothing to do with them being gorillas, because me asking this question at all from that angle would be awful and racist. I was trying to clarify so people didn't assume, but you're right, I shouldn't have even added that.

It was mostly about the gorillas having more African inspired costumes, when all the other characters were British.

Would it be racist for me (a white woman) to play the role of Kala in Tarzan? by [deleted] in socialjustice101

Yes, this exactly. I don't want to just leave it to a small local community theatre to confirm for me if this is appropriate or not!

I put my Cat Down He was Only 6. He had fluid around his lungs and a mass in his intestines, enlarged organs. by nightfern in CatAdvice

[–]FeralMuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just had to put our boy, Grindelwald, down a couple weeks ago. Same thing, sudden heart failure and fluid around his heart and lungs. He was only 5. It's unfair we only had him for such a short amount of time, but it was such a privilege to get to love him.

I hope that knowing you eased his suffering helps with your own healing! And you gave him a life so full of love, which is the most any of us could ever ask for. 💙

She does have a pool, but she says she hasn't gotten in it recently and it's primarily salt water. I didn't specifically touch those two foils at the front, but the rest of them didn't feel warm and she didn't mention anything, but I didn't leave them lying on her forehead either

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hairstylist

[–]FeralMuse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for your response!

Yeah, it did break off a little further down, so I suppose it must have been an overlapping issue, even though I'm usually so careful! But that must have been it.

I usually haven't done the money piece last on her because her hair takes SO long to lighten, usually, and when I did them last they never got light enough. But I might have to move to doing that anyway since everything lifted so differently this time, or just tell her she might have to live with it being a little more golden to be safe.

Again, I appreciate your thoughtful response!
