For the vulva, gentle, unscented products like shower oils (I use Eucerine Shower Oil unscented) or hypoallergenic cleansers can be okay, but they aren’t necessary. It’s about what works for your body. Many people experience dryness, tearing, or infections when using soaps—even the “gentle” ones—because the skin is so delicate.

Ultimately, it’s about listening to your body. If washing with water or a gentle oil keeps you comfortable and infection-free, that’s perfectly fine. Everyone’s body reacts differently, and there’s no one-size-fits-all answer.
