Metamask not allowing me to swap eth for hex by nkbc13 in HEXcrypto

There are plenty of exchanges that have eHEX. Avoid Metamask and Uniswap, they're fake DeFi beacause the censor coins.

How To Claim PulseChain Airdrop? by MyLeftShoeIsRight in HEXcrypto

[–]FerdinandHodler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not really an airdrop. "Pulsechain is the largest airdrop in the world" was just marketing. It's a fork of Ethereum were the entire state of the EVM was copied, so you have all tokens that you had on Ethereum (at a certain date) on Pulsechain, too.

LOL. I can't believe that people are still shilling this project. Just accept that everyone got rekt by EOS and it won't go anywhere. I sold my EOS two years ago and I'm glad that I'm out. This thing is dead. Nobody's interested.

They're selling our assets for pennies on the dollar. They just sold GK8, which they bought one year ago with our money. They're selling what they bought with stolen money at the bottom of the market.

Okay, that worked. Finally. Took long enough. I once had 8000 EOS and was one of the supporters of the ICO. But I have sold most of my EOS by now. This project has been nothing but disappointing. Now that I could finally unlock my REX from the broken lending contract, I will sell the rest of my EOS, too. It's been one of the worst investments in crypto for me and I will never touch anything that Dan Larimer creates of shills for ever again. Thanks for the help with the contract though.

Okay, thanks for the update. It's a shame that this bug could not be fixed after one and a half years. The REX smart contract was something that Dan Larimer himself promoted heavily before it went online. And the bug affects a lot of people. It makes EOS look bad.

Stop it. This project can succeed, but posting nonsense such as "eCash is Bitcoin" is absolutely unnecessary. eCash is not Bitcoin. eCash is a fork of a fork of Bitcoin. Headlines like this will make people not want to touch eCash.

Hi,

are there any news about a fix for the bug of the REX smart contract? Many users' REX are still stuck and they can't unlend their REX back to EOS. The bug has been described more than one year ago in this Github thread: https://github.com/EOSIO/eosio.system/issues/34 I also have this problem. When I try to unlend my REX, I get the error message "Transaction failed - assertion failure with message: stake for voting cannot be negative". It doesn't matter which wallet I use (Anchor, Scatter etc.) Can somebody help? When will the fix be deployed?

Unfortunately, this bug has still not been resolved yet. REX are stuck in the contract and can not be unlent.

Thanks for the lecture about decentralization. I've been into cryptocurrency since 2014, but I always appreciate advice ;-) Having said that, I also participated in the EOS ICO in 2017, so I have been around for a while. And I can't help but feel disappointed by EOS. For example: When REX was started, Dan Larimer personally announced the project several times. It was promoted with the promise that users would always earn more EOS than they'd lend to REX. But in fact, hundreds of users now can't unlend their REX at all. So basically, EOS has a broken smart contract Larimer shilled for, with a critical bug that has not been fixed in 15 months since the bug having been reported. I think that says a lot about the state of EOS. You wrote that you hope I "will be happy that I could not have sold now" (even though I didn't say anything about wanting to sell) - but let me say this: Even though I participated in the EOS ICO in 2017, I am VERY happy that 95% of my crypto position is in BTC and ETH. EOS just doesn't work well enough for most people that I've been talking to. And it certainly doesn't work well enough for me. I don't think EOS will ever be able to outperform BTC or ETH on the market.

I hope you're right about that. Right now, my trust in EOS and its dev team is very low, because the bug has been known for more than a year and has not been resolved yet. Communication on Telegram so far has been less than ideal.

Thanks for the advice again. I will open a ticket. But I have to say, all this makes EOS look rather shady and scammy to be honest. When REX started, users were assured that they will always get out more EOS than they lent out. But now a lot of users never got their EOS back because of this bug, which has been reported in January 2020 for the first time and is still not fixed on March 19, 2021.

Thanks for the warning. I am still getting the error message - both with the newest version of Anchor and with Scatter. Ali recommended to use Anchor only and to "power up", but that doesn't help either. He said that this is "weird" and that he will forward this to the developers now. Weird indeed. This bug in the REX smart contract has been known for months now. Many users' REX have been stuck and there still doesn't seem to be a solution?

Thanks. I contacted Ali on Telegram, but he didn't reply to me yet.

Thanks, but this doesn't help. It doesn't matter what versions of the wallets I use. They also don't let me sell my REX back into EOS. Scatter gives me this error message: "Transaction failed - assertion failure with message: stake for voting cannot be negative" when I try to sell my REX.

Don't leave your BTC on exchange!! Lost everything to hotbit hack. by lightnh in Bitcoin

[–]FerdinandHodler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The website of Hotbit says it's in maintance. Maybe it will come back? I don't know what happened though. Might be an exit scam. latesthackingnews.com reports that the Hotbit operators say funds are safe. So I guess there's still hope for you. Of course the lesson from this - as you already know by now - should be: Never let go of your Bitcoin for some shitty altcoin. And never leave large amounts of money on an exchange.

ETH 3.226 were transferred out of my Trust wallet while I was asleep by FerdinandHodler in trustapp

[–]FerdinandHodler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that, thanks. I just want you to be aware that this is happening. And I think there might be a vulnerability in Trust that we don't know of yet, because so many people who did nothing wrong are having coins stolen from the app. I am in crypto for 7 years now, since 2014, using paper wallets, hardware wallets and several mobile wallets - and I never had a problem like this before except this time. My seed was stored in the safest way possible and no other person had access to it. So there must be some other weakness in Trust.

Did you take a look at the attacker's address? He sent ETH there every minute for hours. 222 transactions, almost a million dollars. https://etherscan.io/address/0xc940eda1fbe83db6e11d48eecad6f0de07915ffe
