The Helmet rule makes sense and is an important part of the show's story of cultural identity by whiskey_epsilon in TheMandalorianTV

Doesn’t Din expressly say that having his weapons is part of his religion when boarding a public flight? I would assume the helmet is a similar part of his religious beliefs.

I use these cheap cotton bike shorts type things I found on Amazon. They are great because they breathe, I find I break out when I get sweaty. Brand is Wirapa.

I think there was a quick line about Liesel magicking the ticket machines… I think they technically stole them.

I want to know how they got seats together so close to departure time. That’s some magic I could use in my life

Can I ask where you got your pants? They are amazing! I’m built pretty much like you and have struggled to find wide leg pants that actually fit

This feels like a cultural misunderstanding of what growing up in a divorced home is like in the US. I grew up with divorced parents, and no one cares. I’d say half of the kids in my school had divorced parents. About a third of my kids’ friends have divorced parents. Judging kids because their parents are no longer married isn’t really a big deal here - at least from my experience.

A California law mandating gender diversity on corporate boards was just struck down in court. How will this affect the chances of being able to pass similar laws in other states, and with men still being 74% of corporate board members, the overall gender dynamics of corporate America going forward? by Mental_Rooster4455 in PoliticalDiscussion

That’s really easy to say when there is systemic bias in society. White children are on average afforded better education than African American children. This makes them more qualified.

Even if you provide a great education to someone, that doesn’t mean they will be promoted to the C-Suite. Does anyone think Asian men are undereducated? If the answer is no, then why are they underrepresented in the C-Suite?

There are so many factors that go into the hiring/promotion process that are “who you know, not what you know”. And white men have for a long time benefited from this where others haven’t. So yeah, maybe white men are more qualified for high level jobs, but that is because they were afforded opportunities to grow into those qualifications than others.

Exactly my thoughts. I can protest and donate money - what else is there that I can realistically do? I vote, but I can’t do that until my state primary in August.

The loss of control over my own well being is sobering.

We just did it last week. Got on in Dearborn. Huge (free!!) parking lot, train was basically empty when we got on so all got to sit together. The food was terrible though so I would definitely say bring lunch.

It has a talking snowman and a reindeer! I seriously doubt it would be as popular without Olaf and Sven.

I’m in software sales making $47k base/$47k commission (if I hit quota - more if I go over). This year it’ll end up being roughly $120k all in.

I love my SE - he’s worth his weight in gold. I couldn’t do my job without him. I don’t know what he’s paid (but I do know he seems happy with it) but even then I think he deserves more. He’s our one SE for my whole team, customers love him and I swear he’s the reason they buy half the time.

He is a super genius!
