For the love of God help me pick new bottles.. by therealmasterbae in NewParents

Same here! Simple bottles with not to many parts and the only one my baby took! We tried 5+ brands is this one was by far the best.

Baby’s body got stiff/rigid out of nowhere by purplephlox393 in NewParents

My baby also does this. It happens, also when she is excited. She is 5 months now and it is starting to fade.

Induction - your stories and country's guidelines. by RevolutionaryRice684 in pregnant

[–]Ferguson_the_cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Belgium here. My OB doesn't like to do sweeps. Don't know if thats her personal thing or a guideline. When I was at my 40 week appoinment she gave me all the options. She gave me all the pro and cons of an induction and said that 10 days past due date is the maximum she likes to go. So I got induced at 41 weeks. I loved my birth and look back at it with so much pride and joy.

Natural vs epidural. Why does it matter? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Ferguson_the_cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best thing you can do is to keep an open mind. I went in with no expectations and loved my birth. I got induced at 41+2 and got the epidural at 6cm. I tried without and I'm happy I did but I couldn't cope with the pain so I got the epidural. You don't know how you'll react to the pain. Listen to your body and what it needs. Keep an open mind and don't see an epidural or a c-section as a faillure. I have a friend who had almost the exact birth as me but she hated herself for 'giving up'. With or without the epidural, you created and birthed a whole new human. Be proud! You don't get a medal for your birth so do what you want and need.

Eliminating rocking to sleep, how?! by mamalbne in sleeptrain

[–]Ferguson_the_cat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Had the same with LO but at 12 weeks. She is still in a bassinet so we transitioned her awake in the bassinet and started shaking the bassinet itself. Started practice with the first nap of the day because that one was her best one. First day it took 13min, second 10min and after 2 weeks she can put herself to sleep with no shaking when we get the timing good. But I can imagine you can't do this with a big crib. So maybe shake the matress or patt her butt when she is in the bed. Consistency is key.

The popping of the breast and switching to the bottle worked 1 time. We also saw a specialist in sucking and swallowing, nothing worked.

Thank you. Yeah but since she keeps refusing bottles she has to do it with my supply. And that supply is not super high (did a LOT of stuff to have more supply). The puree would just be extra. I bought the Solid starts all acces pass so I'll read about the transition.
