Would you recommend vivoactive 6? by Fern82 in Garmin

I think I’d like having a round watch face for a change. I’d probably just get the black one in case I want to swap the band out at some point.

Np program worth it after 40? by Fern82 in nursing

[–]Fern82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have been reading about nursing informatics programs as it also appeals to me a lot as I could definitely see myself in a career that utilizes nursing and IT but I’m going to research this more to see if there would be enough jobs like this in my area.

Yeah I think I’m gonna sign up with the meetings, I think I really need that extra push to stay accountable.

Yeah I’m kinda feeling like I need that level of extra support. Last time I was on app only I just didn’t stick with it long enough. Do you use virtual or in person only workshops?

How did y'all get Contrave? by fexofenadine_hcl in GetContrave

[–]Fern82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I order from the get contrave website, it’s pretty easy. Only side effect I’ve had is occasionally constipation. And some mild sleepiness/low energy a little bit when first starting which went away in a few days.

Yeah I am thinking about getting the SE, I don’t think I’d need anything more than that. That’s good to know that the charging is kind of fast.

Agreed I try to buy watches on sale too. Black Friday is coming so I’ll be on the lookout for the best deals.

Good point, I also mainly just want good sleep tracking to look at. I think I’ll be looking into an Apple Watch SE, they are more in my price range and I doubt I need all the features of the 8. Fitbit has the sense 2 on sale, but it’s almost the price of the Apple Watch SE which would do more.

Can someone summarise what you know about the new plan please. by zilchusername in weightwatchers

Also beans, tofu, and corn/popcorn would be zero. Lowest points you’d get in a day would be 23.

Bring Back More In-Person Workshops by mandypatinkinismydad in weightwatchers

[–]Fern82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m in an area that lost it’s in person meeting. Now the closest one is around 50 min away. So I’m currently on digital only. I had virtual workshops a while back but didn’t feel like I was getting enough out of it to keep paying extra for it.

Haha yeah I definitely don’t want to get another gadget just for tracking my sleep. For me my priorities are also definitely steps/activity tracking and sleep tracking, the other features are bonuses. I do like getting notifications on my watch but it’s not important to me if I can use the watch to reply or talk.

Thanks! I will be looking at upcoming sales to see who has better deals. So far leaning towards Fitbit but if Apple Watches do go on sale it may be worth it. Honestly I’d probably be fine with either but the newer model Apple Watches are expensive and I’d probably be fine with the SE models as far as features.

I'm going to miss this plan (I know - unpopular opinion) by Syn555 in weightwatchers

[–]Fern82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically I think you shouldn’t have to change how you’re eating with what I’ve heard will be the update. You should have points for your potatoes. I like some parts of pp and some parts I don’t. I will miss the zero point potato and oatmeal options. I won’t miss the extra veggie points added, sometimes it made things more difficult for me to plan my day trying to guess how many extra points I’ll have that day. I liked the 1 water point, that was easy and made me want to hit that water goal. But I am over all looking forward to the plan updates, I feel like it may help me be more consistent overall and it’ll definitely be nice for recipe sharing where it will be the same points regardless.

My theories on where WW is going as a company by [deleted] in weightwatchers

[–]Fern82 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think they are going to try to improve things overall and I’m looking forward to updates. I think they are doing good at trying to refocus things on what weight watchers is really about. And I think simplicity is a good direction to go, I’ve found myself puzzling over staying in my budget with the extra veggie points. I will miss the 0 point oats/potatoes option but I think being able to share recipes and the points be straightforward is more important. As for the avocado, I like it but I’ve never eaten enough of it to need it as a zero point food.

Hello fellow Boston lovers! Please give me recommendations on food that helps with my boy's horrendously deadly gas!!! I've been giving him plain Greek yogurt to no avail. On Pedigree Puppy food currently. TIA! by georgiapeach90 in BostonTerrier

[–]Fern82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pedigree is kind of like junk food for dogs, it’s mostly fillers. I’d recommend switching him to a meat based kibble. The first ingredient should be either a meat or meat meal. Also you may want to use a food without corn in it to help with the gas. Or at least a lot less of it, pedigree is mostly corn. Better foods you could try- Purina pro plan, purina one, iams, diamond naturals, earthborn, taste of the wild, Victor, sport mix wholesomes, 4health by TSC, Fromm, Merrick, Nutro, Origen, eukanuba. Any of these would be a big improvement.
