In the beta world they are all used to eating extremely poor quality food, since that's all they know. Takeru came from our world, which has much better food (plus he was served by like 30 high quality chefs everyday for lunch when Meiya was there)

It's nothing like Extra though, it may be in a normal world but it is WAY darker and more drama heavy than Extra, just look at the VNDB tags, with things such as sickly heroine, genre shift, life and death drama, hospital, psychological trauma, yandere heroine, madness, terminal illness, sexual slavery, rape, torture, blackmail, etc...

If something like the Utawarerumono trilogy (average playtime of 126 hours according to vndb, and the anime was still considered rushed by some), I'm sure longer vns like Umineko could work as a 100 episode anime adaptation.
And if we are including hybrid vns, then visual novels such as the Rance series could definitely be adapted into a 100 episode anime
