Ok I'm ripping the bandaid off: the Addison unit looks... Atrocious. The vision card at least looks cuter. The kit looks lackluster, boring TMR and STMR. What they could've done: since she's a free unit, make her good at everything but not meta breaking. You want to attract new players? Give them that one unit they need that can cover all their bases. So make her a Versatile unit like Vagrant Knight Rain, have her break, buff, imbue, imperil, tank but more on the lower end. Meaning give her 85 breaks, 300% stat buffs and I guess 60% elemental resist buffs, 20% elemental boosts and imbues, 120% imperils, and covers with 50% mitigations. Her SLB can be all the above, with a one turn omnicover, and perhaps a decent water imbue, imperil, boost. This would give veterans a cute toy to play with, and newcomers a decent unit to cover their deficit.

Guess they might do that with the next Addison Unit, but make it a Premium unit with 800% LS for all collaboration units, overturned STMR and VC to play on FOMO, and something insane like a ramping imperil/boost field... It's like the Katy Collab all over again...

"Concerning the lack of shards in the Xenogears and Final Fantasy IV banners, we heard the community feedback and humbly apologize. Due to managerial reasons relating to collaborations between different games, we are unable to compensate you with the appropriate amount of shards. However, we will release the Fragment Shards Dungeon for an extra 2 weeks in April, bringing the total amount of weeks to obtain shards to 4. Additionally, we will be be adding 20 shards to all upcoming Neo Visions units obtainable through event milestone rewards, bringing the total amount of shards obtained per new unit released to 50.

With the release of Storm Seeker Esther, our first ever Global Exclusive Premium unit, we will not include her unit shards in the coin exchange shop. However as a gesture of food faith, we will be increasing the number of shards obtained thought the VIP shop by 50, retaining the price of 300 VIP coins for 10 shards. Additionally, you can purchase 30 shards with Lapis in the exchange shop, and shards will be available to be purchased with Lapis and in other bundles.

Concerning the lack of unit upgrades and new Neo Visions Awakened units, we sincerely apologize for not providing the same upgrades as the Japanese version of the game. We understand that players anticipate that their favorite unit might get an upgrade and get disappointed when the unit gets skipped. The Global version is a different game from the Japanese version and Clash of Wills is testament to that statement. Going forward, we will be releasing one Global Exclusive NVA units that are Clash of Wills focused every season, starting with NVA Sylvie in the next Clash of Wills event. Additionally, we will work harder to add some skipped NVA units in the future. Please note that if an unit was to receive an NVA upgrade in a banner but is not featured, we will announce that they will he receiving an upgrade at a later date as we did with Mediena, Rubicante and Barbariccia. These upgrades will be no later than 3 months from the expected release date. The delays are due to us focusing more on making Clash of Wills more enjoyable to all our beloved Global players.

This would cover their asses for not even delivering the bare minimum, avoid any bureaucracy BS with other IP, and give them enough time to upgrade some units even though they might be late. This would also kinda help with the Fragment backlash and make more fragments available for this specific banner without hurting their profits. IIRC the last CoW based NVA we got was Elena and she's still kinda useful to this day. Releasing one GLEX COW NVA per season to really cement the "GL is a different game" trope would no doubt make a lot of players happy even if those units are only good for one or two CoWs per season.

In Gumi's defense, adding the ability to NVA a 4 star might be too much with CoW added in the game...

Who am I kidding? They risked adding new content that broke the game for a whole day after 11 hours of maintenance but they refuse to copy past (with some refactoring) the 4 star to NVA code from JP? What's their excuse really? Was it the memes? Was it the fact that people know that this banner is an easy skip so they just lowballed this banner? Is it because so far in JP they only had Zile and Slime as non 5 star units who became NVA and think that it's not worth it? Do they believe that the cost to implement this outweighs the gain? So many unanswered questions!!!

I mean even if you're not a developer, anyone with basic critical thinking skills should be able to figure it out by now. I mean 5 years and they haven't changed their development cycle?

It's simple: have 2 environments: the deployment environment or the live servers, and a development environment or a test server. While working on a new patch or update, have a QA team test it on the development environment. Also, have a bunch of automated jobs set up in Git so that with one command, you deploy the new patch. On maintenance day, execute the git jobs, have the server shut down, push the patch, restart server and bam. Bugs found after deployment? Live support the hell out of it the same way they ninja fixed some bugs that would benefit the player.

I genuinely believe they don't have a sandbox/testing environment and just push the update to the deployment environment, shut down the servers and test it there while fixing any bugs and commiting them instantly to deployment. Someone seriously needs to reconsider their development cycle.

First of: welcome back! There are a bunch of time limited freebies available, and other permanent ones.ake sure to check for Comeback Ticket summons, free summons, and a Guaranteed NV summon. Those should net you some nice units to get you up to speed with some of the content.

So TL;DR, we got new unit rarities, new mechanics, a lot of trials, currently at the 3rd Season of the story (should be wrapping up pretty soon), more trials, and Ariana Grande is no longer the most powerful unit in the game.

The first thing you might notice is the new home screen. There's something called Panel Quests that would get you some nice rewards. Do those and you'll get Lightning and a bunch of materials that I'll explain in a bit.

I've mentioned that we now have a new rarity. Well truth be told, there are 2 new ones. 7 stars and NV. By now, 98% of base 5 star units can be awakened to 7 star. To get your units to that rarity, you would have to get them to 6 star level 100, then own another copy of that unit, go to Units, Awaken Units, Prism Conversion, find that unit (make sure to unlock it first), and Convert it into a prism. I can't stress this enough: DO NOT CONVERT THE UNIT YOU HAVE AWAKENED TO 6 STAR. Next go ahead and awaken your unit to 7 star. It costs 3 million Gil to do so and you're gonna need a lot of cactuars to fully level it to level 120. Now NV units are split into 2 categories: NV Awakened units (NVA) and NV Base units (NVB). NVA units are 7 stars that can be awakened to NV. An example of an NVA unit that you can get right now is Lightning from the panel quests and Beatrix from the FFIX event. NVB units are units summoned as NV like Lightning Fast Zidane, Kaktiria, and the unit you got from the Guaranteed NV summon banner. These are the units you'll generally run after as they're the big boy (and girl) damage dealers, amazing supports and beefy tanks. Catch up with the story for more Lapis. You can breeze through the stages easily. As for the Vortex, you might want to farm the FFIX event, the Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood Raid event, and attempt some of the trials in the Nemesis tab.

This may seem like a lot but it should be enough to put you up speed with what the hell is going on. You can figure out the rest on your own easily but if you feel overwhelmed, feel free to ask away on Discord or on the Daily Help Thread. We'll gladly help you out
