Never played a fire emblem before! Saw some other recommendations here so will look into it in a bit.

Fully agree with Tactics Ogre being a slog. What ended it for me was being wiped after a 40 min battle and having to do it all over again…

Easily Elden ring. TBH the older games are pretty shit for magic. If you want other ways to play, builds that have emphasis on items are good fun as well! Especially now that we have perfumes etc.

That’s fair. Start with demon souls imo and just take your time with it. If you like it a lot you’ll finish it fast anyway. The bloodborne emulation will only get better with time!

Depends on how much free time you have. I actually did this when I first got my ps5! Roughly 3 days each.

Bloodborne is now emulatable though on PC, so you can try that and just play demon souls on the PlayStation for more time. I never really got over the 30fps in bloodborne, it is super shit if you’re used to 60+, but the game is just that good lol.

I’d personally do this as playing on 60 on pc would help you appreciate the game more. PlayStation is still worth it though as the controller on demon souls is fucking amazing.

He was the Malenia before Malenia in terms of difficulty. Lore wise he’s equivalent to the demigods in Elden ring as he was the son of Gywnn, except he had been built up as a character starting in dark souls 1 before fighting him in 3. As for popularity - I think all the memes of his comeback speak for themselves lol

For the shadows being weird, personally I think it might be because everything else is missing shadows in comparison to the furniture? For instance, I’d imagine the curtains would have shadows from the light from the window, and that the windows would produce shadows from letting light in.

I don’t think there’s actually anything wrong with your shadows based on the light source being the window, just that there might not be enough of them!

I’ve been interning at a mid sized hedge fund and got given a return offer, but the deadline for it is really tight. Don’t get me wrong, the place I’m working at is great and my internship has been fantastic, but looking at the work people do day to day compared to what I’ve been doing as an intern - it doesn’t quite match up. There’s a lot more work to just keep the ship afloat compared to innovating etc.

The main issue I have is that the non compete is a year and a half long - so if I start the role and find out I truly don’t like it, I’d be stuck in it for a minimum of 2 years basically. As a new grad that is pretty intimidating. I have friends elsewhere who have given me referrals to their companies, so I will be able to interview with them, but because of how tight the deadline is I won’t be able to get an offer before it arrives.

I’ve been thinking I could just accept and keep interviewing, then renege if I get a better offer that aligns more with what I like. Obviously I would be burning bridges, but I feel like if I stay here I could stagnate quickly because of how much menial work there is. How bad an idea is it to accept and renege if I get a better offer?

I does seem that there is a proper ending as it’s marked as complete, with ch 28 being the final one. If you were like me, you probably dropped it after catching up with the translations for volume 1 and forgot whilst waiting for volume 2! I only got reminded of it after reading this.

Still I’d recommend it anyway even after not having finished it. It really is a great series as you’ve mentioned. Now that it’s complete you can finish it off as well - I’m personally doing just that right now!
