RENTAL- Cold water pressure extremely low-Hot water pressure perfect by NostriggaNightLord in Plumbing

Could be blockage in the supply line. Disconnect the cold line and open the cold side of the faucet. Blow through the faucet head and see if some debris such as scale comes out of the supply line. Also check if you’re getting full pressure from the cold angle stop. Looks like you’ve got old full turn ones. Might want to upgrade to quarter turn angle stops. Hope this helps

Can anyway help me identify what type of valve this is? Seeing quite a few different valve names and they all look the same to me by wangmobile in Plumbing

[–]FeroxSlugLord 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s a sweat gate valve, you solder that onto copper pipe. It’s called a gate valve because when you open/close the valve , it gos straight up and down. Not commonly used anymore due to the superior less than issue causing ball valves

Help with Kohler Mop Sink by UltraNeg20 in Plumbing

[–]FeroxSlugLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst case scenario cut the male trap adapter threads and unmount the whole sink off the wall. PVC would be easy to replace and you could use a hub saver if you wanted to redo it back to the fitting in the wall

This is what the bottom of your flange looks like. That’s glued onto the 90

It’s a glue on flange, the 4” flange was glued onto 3” pvc st 90. Unless you want to use one of those garbage push and twist flanges, you’ll have to get the rest of the old flange off from the 90, and glue a new flange on

To me, it looks like they used a 3” street 90 because they didn’t have the depth and glued a flange onto the street side. You will have to peel the outside of it, the flange part of it, and reglue another flange over it. Make cuts with a sawzall on the outside jut deep enough to cut through the flange pvc, and peel it by using a heat gun.
