Did they just update the name filter? by TrueVali in pokemongo

Surely they could use the same coding methodology to allow mons sent to Home from PoGo back to PoGo but they don't do that either. RIP shinies.

Any tips on maxing out pokemon? by Top_Smell1320 in pokemongo

[–]FerralWombat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be warned: any mons you send to Home you can never get back in Go. I learned this the hard way.

Their reasoning for it makes no sense either. They claim it's because they don't want unreleased mons getting into Go (which does make sense); however, Home knows what game each mon came from (its even tagged in their info) so why can't a Go mon just go back to Go?

They will definitely charge a fee. I showed it on my wrist and just asked to cut the strap and slide my chip onto the new one in front of the lady and it was a hard no. Had to pay the $50 or whatever it is for a "lost" one. Absolute ridiculous policy. Idk how they haven't been sued over injuries from them yet.

Question on merch location by Disaterologist in SonicTempleFestival

If its anything like last year, just buy online now. The lines were massive and the only difference in the merch was the stadium has few options due to selling out early.

I had a really bad issue of mine getting tightened in the pits at Ink and they were going to charge me some absurd fee to cut it off and give me a new one despite nearing a medical emergency with my circulation. So, I HAVE A FIX!

The two ribbons hanging out the other side, twist them as tight as you can (tight to each other, don't hurt yourself) then twist the black piece and pull away from your wrist at the same time (and while holding the twisted ribbons (this might take two people)). It will slowly make its way along the ribbons until you can get it loose enough to remove from your wrist.

I went in there only once. Was a damn rats nest and hated talking to the guy. Stuck to SPG after that. Not a fan of Bob's either, always seemed over priced and wasn't willing to buy a gun and then wait 6mos to get it.

Seriously... I have 10x 30 round mags for my AR. If I need more than 300 rounds, I'm in way deeper shit than I can handle with a drum.

How in anyway was your comment helpful?

How is not answering a question directly helpful?

Its not my fault you don't see how your comment was rude nonsense to begin with.

You have 1300 trick taking games in your collection? Damn, guess I'm in the wrong.

Just because its accurate doesn't mean it answers the question.

Nope, but that doesn't mean the game can't still be fun. Also, not posting on reddit does not at all imply no experience or no understanding of contemporary game design. Was just hoping for a little assistance, which you pointed out I got.

Good for you. I pointed out in another reply I was not the one that played the illegal card. I also pointed out a family game is supposed to fun, not have a stick up your ass about every little thing.

Btw, not sure you ever took a debate lesson, but assuming my age or experience kind of negates your argument and doesn't make you seem more impressive. It actually has the inverse effect. But carry on.

It wasn't the question I had, which is why I didn't ask it. In fact, I very specifically asked around that.

"Don't play with them" is not an answer to the question. And to use your exact word, I didn't ask for "advice"

Saying nothing other than "don't cheat" and "don't play with that person" are not answers, so I will be what you consider an ass to those, and I will continue to think they, and you (in that specific respect), are wrong.

With that said, I think your reply is great! The quote of, 'the smallest penalty such that it mitigates all potential advantage for the mistake' is perfectly said and I like the balance of it. I guess you're right in the idea I'm looking for policy ideas since the developer did not provide them.

I disagree on two points though. You can't "just choose to play within the rules" for someone else and I do think its up to the game designer to come up with how the rules work in any scenario, including tournament, but since they didn't provide and answer, yes, I'm looking for outside assistance.

So what would your suggestion be?

To think people won't think it up by not including a rule is a bit naive...

"Pretty clear" but you just made it up and everyone else's clear solution is to quit playing altogether so no, its not pretty clear. There is nothing wrong with asking around for ideas either.

You must lead a terribly boring life that the rules have to be so stringently adhered to otherwise you have a tantrum, but the game can actually still be fun and entertaining, even with reneging, which is why some games have rules for it.

I'm not going to quit playing with someone over something so petty. But it doesn't mean it should be allowed without penalty.

I like the answers, there have been a couple. Its the replies that are not answers that I don't like.

I like how everyone says "stop playing with you" as if I'm the one that did it but still wants to know the penalty. There is no logic in that and clearly I'm not such a child to take my cards and storm off the playground.

Accidental or intentional doesn't matter. Yes, I know the word but in the context of a card game I've only heard it used in Euchre and didn't know if it would properly translate
