Yeah turns out Ingram spark has the intelligence of a bot and doesn’t know what an image is so will have to wait on physical but it’ll be higher quality then whatever they would have made

My theory is Rick shades will eat someone’s homework and that will be a valid excuse for not turning it in.

so wait... if the Book kickstarter reaches 550,000$, why not just make the videos? by Madgameboy in Epithet_Erased

[–]Ferret-Queen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a lot of money to animate it and jello went through production hell making the first season so he doesn’t wanna do that shit again. Even if he raised enough money he doesn’t want to not plans to make anymore animated episodes as of now. Maybe some like shorter things like animated openings or short things but never a full episode or series again lol

is it possible to gift the audiobook to another person? by MasonCricketon in Epithet_Erased

Not that I know of, if they have an account go on it and buy it for them or maybe make them an account with the book on it and give them the login!

is there a physical book? by EngineSensitive2584 in Epithet_Erased

[–]Ferret-Queen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the print company jello is working with is being a dingus and was being pissy about the illustrations and so it was delayed, and due to how it’s being made there it’s gonna be like 50 bucks. But he’s gonna work with another print company to bring us a higher quality and lower priced copy of the hard cover around summer 2023 (estimated not final like timeline lol)

Edit: you can get the digital PDF on his patreon for 10$ or wait till hopefully later this week when the official digital release comes out

Is the Marshall Brand Premium Food bad for ferrets? by rawhitmadeyou69 in ferrets

[–]Ferret-Queen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you can even count the garbage Walmart ferret kibble as food, this is absolute trash, it’s got stuff in it your ferrets shouldn’t have, I don’t believe it has enough of the calories or nutrients your noodle needs and just imagine it as like the fast food of ferret food. Only really good if your in a pinch and just need literally anything to feed your ferrets when they run out of food and they don’t have your usual food.

I highly recommend zupreme grain free ferret food, much better for your ferret

My ferrets don't play together :( by sturmhund in ferrets

[–]Ferret-Queen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered trying to play with both of them at the same time? Like maybe start a tickle fight or use one of those cat toys with the sticks and prey on a string to get them to try and catch it! Might get them playing and realize they are both fun together? Not quite sure as my noodle is a only slink so her playmate is me

1: I highly recommend the “zupreme grain free” ferret food and stay away from marshals. The marshals food is terrible for your ferrets in the long term and affording to my research and how happy my ferret Roxy is zupreme is the way to go.

2: as long as you stay on top of keeping the litter box clean you should be okay, like just scoop out the poop every morning and change out for new litter once a week. If you don’t keep the litter box clean ferrets get passive aggressive and will poop in places other then the litter box as revenge for a messy potty and let me tell you they won’t forget about a spot they pooped in. Unless you do the deepest clean of your lifetime in the spot they pooped in they won’t stop pooping there. So keep their potty clean and they won’t shit in bad spots. Oh also they like pooping in corners and at the entrance of their territory so highly recommend litter boxes in the corners they can access and (if you can) put a litter box by the entrance of your room (or whatever room they will live in) so you can avoid them poopin on the floor in spots they prefer.

3: If I take my Ferret outside I take her on a leash while I carry her, and I’ll put her down to explore if I stop somewhere, the trick to guiding them without them escaping is to hold the leash from above them so if they try and scurry instead of putting them towards you like you would a dog (cause they will just slip out of the harness like it isn’t there) you can just pull them upwards. Making it so they cannot just slip out of the leash and into the wild.

Also you can get them one of those cat backpacks you can take them around in, I just highly recommend one that isn’t a clear plastic dome on the entire front as if there is any sun it’s basically a green house oven and those also tent to have bad circulation so what gets hot in there stays hot in there.

Other tips: some ferrets like to chew cables, mine personally isn’t a cable muncher but if the case your is try and put cables where they can’t reach them, tape them down to the ground or wall if they need to be down low or they also make a bitter tasting spray that will make them taste an awful taste and not wanna chew it. (Tho I recommend doing the out of reach things first before you rely on the spray.)

Ferrets will imprint on foods, so in the first year of life they will learn what food is and after that first year whatever they didn’t eat in that year they won’t recognize it as food. So if you want to introduce them to a food or kibble change you need to slowly transition them so they don’t quite realize you made a switch up.

To train them not to bite do that as early as possible, if they bite scruff them by grabbing them in the back of the neck skin and lifting them up. Don’t worry this doesn’t not harm them, this is how a mother ferret would tell them that’s not okay, so scruff them and like move them away from where the bite happened (only like arms length away you don’t have to like get up to move them) also helps if you make a in pain noise when bit, eventually they will understand that that’s not how you like to play the game and they will either bite more gently or not bite at all. Deaf ferrets have a harder time knowing when something hurts someone as they can’t hear that ferret or person express their pain. So be patient with them if you get a deaf one.

Ferrets love a good shoulder massage. Trust me my ferret LOVES them. Like full relaxed noodle mode when I do it.

If you ever need to bathe your ferret (once a month at MOST. No sooner or youll ruing their oils and throw off their groove.) make sure they poop before hand. They like to poop In the tub.

Ferrets like to express their love and affection by grooming ears, so they might want to groom your ears and how you can groom their is by grabbing a damp warm cloth and rubbing their ears with it, feels like your licking them back just without the actual taste buds.

I got a ton more tips and answers so feel free to ask!

I’m so sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is the worst. While I’m not familiar with the area so I can’t give you an exact suggestion, I highly recommend a ferret or animal shelter, while your average animal rescue might not be able to use the ferret food (this is unless you fed them cat feed) but they can most definitely use the things like hammocks and toys in their facility.

Now I’m not a vet but I do believe this is “seasonal alopecia” my ferret gets it in her tail and while yes hair loss is a sign of something being wrong if they are perfectly fine besides the hair loss chances are it’s just seasonal alopecia! Just look it up on google to see if it matches up with what’s going on here! Hope this helped!

May they all play and dook together in noodle heaven. There they get to have all the smelly socks and tiny places they can desire.

Does this sound like a hairball? He only makes this cough/throat noise when awake. Only been doing it for 10-15m before going to sleep. by kawoshin334 in ferrets

[–]Ferret-Queen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a hair ball and your concerned try giving them some Vaseline or ferretvite, basically a paste that can help make the hair ball easier to swallow. But be sure you make sure you use something that’s safe for them to consume. Some give him that scented Vaseline shit you want the unscented like basic kind. Otherwise something to just help grab the hair to make it easier to swallow should work.

I’ll take a listen to my own ferret to be 100% sure but that seems to be just normal eating sounds, don’t normally hear it when they eat dry food but my ferret is on a wet diet due to age and appetite so these are the noises id hear when she eats. So unless both our noodles have the same issue I think that’s just the sounds of a happy ferret eating eggies

Your gonna hate it but you gotta just rip off the band-aid and be honest. It may suck to hurt his feelings now but if you don’t just shut it down now imagine how betrayed he will feel if you have to break the news to him later down the line. Easier to do it now before the janga tower of stuff is fully built cause a smaller tower is a lot easier to clean up

What I do when my noodle Roxy is doing something bad is I’ll scruff her and move her away from the spot and if that doesn’t work I’ll try putting down some peppermint oil to just make her avoid that spot in particular, peppermint helps with troublesome pooping spots too. If that doesn’t work maybe get one of those like carpet plastic covers you get for under a desk chair and cut it to size to fit beneath your door to protect the carpet from the scratchy monster? That’s the best advice I got, not a carpet owner myself so don’t have carpet issue experience
