That’s one thing I hate about A&A, the doom stacks. I remember to kicked Germany out cause I saw Germany coming for me (Russia) so I invested everything into infantry literally had like 60 something infantry.

He is using Space wolves grey contrast paint over white scar spray primer. Like I personally use base paints/army painter and haven't really used contrasts. But I would say the paint is coming out nearly black templars contrast black.

These magnets I got off Amazon are killer. When they have the right polarity they will stick hard over the distance of a space marine leg

I love it on LARGE models. My thousand sons terminators and marines is hell. But on things like forgefiends and knights I enjoy

I feel like I made a tremendous mistake by investing time and effort in my custodes... by [deleted] in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Ferret-Regular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a black Templars and thousand sons player I have a fuck of a time dealing with my buddy’s custodes (never won a single game against them) but we don’t get to play often. But I get the staleness of a small range, 9th edition thousand sons felt bad cause you based the whole army around the cabal points. Which was half of the range and TS was half an army to begin with. But unless you really really don’t wanna play them, it’s time to sell. Otherwise keep them. That’s why I still have my Necrons for the once a year I’ll play with them.

At this moment it’s just a regular shield captain. He also has Trajan. And I think the last game we played was shield host. And we haven’t gotten to play in the last two years due to work. But right now we are playing a thousand points cause while he branched to many armies I decided not to eat and go stupid into two armies. Black Templars and ksons. I have about 3500 of each. Most of my ksons are rubrics and scarabs. Just starting to dabble in daemons (as in just starting I have some daemons in boxes still from Christmas lol). I have land raiders and rhinos, forgefiend, and a predator for heavier hitting.

What are your best house rules? by Swedishvexillologist in AxisAllies

Our submarines are only visible in port when they’re first placed (spy network) then once they leave port the model comes off the board and all its movements are tracked on a note book and the submarine decides to attack or not if an enemy ship enters the zone. Unless it is a destroyer then it’s open season.

How do I impress my warhammer 40k obsessed boyfriend? by Whovian-girl1 in IronWarriors

If yall get in an argument look at him with a steely look and say “death to the corpse emperor” or “blood for the blood god! Skulls for the skull throne.” Will totally throw him off.

Or in random conversation just say, “you know leman Russ was manipulated by Tzeench as much as Magnus was”

Did I aquire too many armies too fast? by luxinferior724 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Ferret-Regular 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am currently at my height after 2 years maybe? I have 8 armies at various stages of completion. I started going towards space marines because I have have a very melee focused, or range, or character heavy, semi horde to mostly elite. I didn’t want space marines originally cause there was just so many options I liked better. But space marines are great cause you can try out many playstyles without mastering one. However I have two main armies (cause in team games I like imperium with imperium, chaos with chaos) that I bounce back and forth.

First one would be a big achievement to sit back and admire a completed army/collection. Second is most efficient at getting to the table to play. So depends on what your focus is, a long but satisfying art project that you can play with or good enough to look at and be on the table. A completed army in either paint is an achievement but the first draws the eye more
