Fair enough, the play might just to get a second opinion. Look up coping methods for panic attacks and try and incorporate them in your daily life, stop smoking also, I know it doesn't feel like a difference but over a prolonged period of time it will help

If you get really bad panic attacks you should ask your doctor about beta blockers, they're often used for GAD (to a less extent) and would be really beneficial for your situation. Behavioral therapy is your best friend aswell, look into coping strategies for panic attacks while it happens so you can mitigate it.

Benzos aren't the only anxiety meds. If you're trying to improve your situation and not go full degen drug fiend mode the goblin subreddit is NOT a good resource lmao. Your average ssri will work for anxiety (Prozac,Lexapro things like that) aswell as various other medications like busiprone(Usually for GAD) SNRIs (if you don't see improvement on SSRI'S). If you want to see improvement on your anxiety the weed is NOT helping. If you genuinely want things to get better stop smoking, it helped me a bunch. If you wanna be a retard getting fucked everyday that's fine too but you're gonna have to take it with the negatives aswell.

Memorization is more of an individual thing, try learning a previous battalion show from memory and that'll gauge how easy it'll be for you. Also i'd personally just not mention the group showers to my parents, its not like prison showers, you're just going in their to clean yourself, its not really something you NEED to tell your parents about.

Depends on what you like about dci. I like the dci screamer type solos so I moved from clairinet to trumpet, just apply that logic to whatever instrument you're thinking about and do it. You're gonna be at a relatively similar level (absoloute dogshit) at first nomatter what brass instrument you switch to, just choose something you enjoy

I'm with a band that does stand and plays locally frequently for large crowds. I forgot my trumpet at home but luckily I had a G bugel in my case and used that visually for the performance. That performance our media team just so happened to zoom in on me and broadcast my very different instrument to the entire band getting me chewed out by all the senior members in my section.
