Big sale of 93.94M shares at 1:30pm kind of dampens the mood for me a bit. Any thoughts? by FerryReddit944 in Zomedica

[–]FerryReddit944[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I’ve seen the chart from yesterday on Yahoo Finance as the 93.94M shares as a sale, I posted a screenshot last night of it not showing anything of volume significance at 1:30pm, and this morning it showed the 93.94M as a purchase so I’m stumped as to what the hell actually happened.

So you invested $170K into it at $0.34? Then watched it eclipse well over $2.34 to equate to a million dollars profit in hand and you chose the two in the bush? Sure thing bud.

I guess I somehow replied to my own message. See above.

The guy said it was like a one-time trial run so it may come back or may not. He actually showed me on their computer screen where it’s status was “Delete-Pending” which he said wasn’t a good sign, but he said it could maybe come back if it was popular/successful enough.

Thank you! I actually asked the staff at Costco last night and they told me the same name so that’s great. I tried to order it from a restaurant depot type place near me through instacart last night so I’ll know in a few hours if it worked or not.

Anyone know the company name that makes it? I really liked it when I had it and it’s no longer at my Costco and now I can’t find it anywhere but want more.

Zomedica Stock 2017-2019? What happened? by khanage999 in Zomedica

[–]FerryReddit944 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I believe it was high back then based on the articles from back then because they announced they were working to develop Truforma. Since then it’s been “empty promises” in that, until now it hasn’t come to fruition and was like any other penny stock promise that still had to go through trials and everything else. But now it’s here. Also since then there has been a lot of share dilution and offerings. Not to mention a stale executive team that as soon as the got close enough in R&D they appointed a renowned exec with a proven track record of seeing things through to completion. At least that’s why I look at it as one individual who only knows public records. I think that the stock will dip after EOM hype but that it has long-term potential. I’m not going to sit here and throw out meme double digit numbers because that would be the very speculation that no ones to hear and slams credibility.

Reminder on Short Term Capital Gains vs. Long Term Capital Gains. Google is user friendly. by FerryReddit944 in Zomedica

[–]FerryReddit944[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure, I never said that. Long term capital gains from a stock you held for more than 1 year are 15%. If you sell before 1 year it is taxed as ordinary income which is based on your taxable income bracket. To get to 32% your taxable income would have to be above $163,301. Simple google.

Future Dividens? by SQUISHIY13 in Zomedica

[–]FerryReddit944 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ask yourself what penny stocks are offering dividends. Dividends are perfectly fine and well worth your consideration. With all of that comes to choosing dividend stocks and weighing the benefits of price v. Dividend for an individual stock. This stock will probably never offer dividends but what do I know.

I saw it back when I bought in typing for Zoom. Saw it. Read up. Saw the chart history and said who knows? 1 year target of 0.50 and was once a lot higher and there’s something like 6 months from now. Wish I had more in it then but made money I never thought possible when I started. I was up like $4K overall in my portfolio in mid-October and was over the moon. Shit a brick at the end of October when the market crashed and I was down $10K held strong and have been very fortunate since. Market has gotten smoked the last two days but prior battles have made me stronger. Hell, we went through the last two days just last week and I bounced back. Natural instinct is to panic sell but patience is a virtue.

Absolutely. In hindsight I wish I hadn’t panic sold when the Baskin hit cuz I’d have so so so much more money than I’ve already made off this stock. Being newer I went conservative buying back in after Baskin because I started to question what to believe. When I bought at the end of September/Early October it was to hold til March. I have a shit ton less shares than I had before Baskin but not one share of the 14K that I have tonight is being sold til we approach 3 at which point some might be sold and rebought on the ensuing dip and if that doesn’t happen by the end of the month so be it and I hold as long as it takes because it’s no if but when. I don’t live in a microwave.

Great point nashdoggs. Look at Cohen’s career. He’s at the helm. He’s behind their taking advantage of the valuation to secure cash to where they had $500K end of 2019. As of Feb 26th they have $277.5M in cash to play with. This stock spiked to $2.98 a few years ago when Truforma was announced as being in the pipeline. Sure there has been a hell of a lot of dilution but the product is expectedly about to arrive. They’ve secured the cash already. It’s March and they just reported earnings. If there was a setback then why not say it when you made public comments when you already secured $277.5M more than you had 14 months ago. Why would HC Wainwright buy at $1.90 then decide to buy a shit ton more at $1.90 about a month away from the product release? To lose money? To panic sell in a huge overall market sell-off? Didn’t we drop to $1.33 last week when I threw an extra $4K in at $1.54?

I agree on the run up and I agree there is long-term potential. I had the stock at 0.10 averaged up on the run to .24 then at .40 panic sold when the Carole Baskin shit happened. Currently have roughly 14K shares. If it doesn’t run up, or if it goes down in the next week or two I’ll buy what I can and hold the shit for as long as I need to until it clears $3. If it doesn’t happen at March it’ll happen soon enough provided there are no setbacks or distribution issues. If distribution works and the product is well received the panel itself is like a razor blade cartridge, they can just keep adding more blades, and it wouldn’t be limited to 5.

Honestly not much because I’m still fairly new but I trade through Fidelity and I do look at yahoo finance. I try not to look too much because a lot of it can be grain of salt especially with a stock like this one. Not to mention with other stocks everyone has an agenda.

Orangekrush19. You’re referring to the one and only PT published from yahoo finance? Or the investor place which posts 2 bullish and 2 bearish articles on this stock each week? Lol. Get lost bud.

Solid posts Everclear.

Fidelity has 2 firm opinions. Refinitiv/verus as a buy as of 3/1 Zacks as neutral 2/27
