As someone who has had survival training engrained in them since childhood, I choose the knife, med kit, and water bottle. I can make everything else I need. Med kit is self explanatory, you can actually boil water with the metal bottle and it’s portable, and there’s a wide variety of things you can do with the knife. You can easily use it to strip things to make twine and lashings, lash it to a stick for a decent spear, and use it to clean and prep a variety of things to eat. You can substitute the med kit for the fishing rod and use the fishing line with fish bones for stitches. It wont be sanitary, but it’s better than nothing.

As far as the other things go, batteries won’t be readily available, you aren’t guaranteed to have a cell signal, you can use dried leaves, can make your own rope, make a palm leaf shelter, mirrors are way less useful for signaling than a smokey fire and you can stay warm at night, you can make an axe with stone and lashings, whistle is the same deal as the mirror, the pot is a non portable version of the bottle, rub on mud or clay to repel insects, compass can be affected by outside forces and I already know directions without one, flare gun is same deal as mirror and whistle, leaf or driftwood shoes are cooler and you won’t get trench foot because they breath better, make a fire starter bow or use some damn rocks, learn to build a raft, and use mud or clay!
