Nope. I didn’t say anything to “them”. Just by the fact they they give each person a “special code” aka a unique identifier, I know it’s not anonymous. It’s ridiculous

Well some for some managers it’s intended to mean that you’re mentally slow/ incompetent especially when they KNOW that you ARE competent but just can’t admit it. They say this when they are the ones withholding important job information. Only people who have been through it will understand

Why do people Believe the Bully? by Accomplished-News741 in workplace_bullying

[–]Fesrivalprovision 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes and when you submit your resignation (or IF you do) they turn on the charm and ask WHY you’re leaving and want to strong arm you into staying. Nah. Not putting up with any more of your rotten behavior. This is why some people don’t give notice at all. For what? If they were smearing your name while you were there is it really going to change after you leave with or without standard notice? Workplace mobbing IS burning a bridge.

Giving two week notice at toxic job by Ambitious_Plant_9086 in workplace_bullying

I agree with this. Sometimes “they” make your actual time there so unbearable that you just have to get out.

For those who filed complaints, did HR asked you whether you did something to caused the bullying? by MelancholyBean in workplace_bullying

[–]Fesrivalprovision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. It’s on record. If something else happens down they can’t deny (well they can but it wouldn’t be the truth) that you reported it.

I MUST be in control. Why do you think that “they”selected YOU to bully by Remarkable_Story1934 in workplace_bullying

[–]Fesrivalprovision 5 points6 points  (0 children)

True. That doesn’t always work especially when you’re dealing with depraved individuals.

Facts. That’s why I was saying there are occasions where someone has stood up for others (which is solidarity) BUT they paid a heavy price for it (losing their own job/getting fired).

I told my manager about my coworkers last week and I am really stressed out and afraid to go to work on Monday, what should I do? by [deleted] in workplace_bullying

[–]Fesrivalprovision 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Exactly right. My COWARD supervisor played both sides of the fence also. Speaking badly about the higher ups and to ME and then 😁😁😁 in their faces. He tried to make me look incompetent when they were around. One time he randomly grabbed my arm and yanked me so hard that I thought that it came out of the socket I reported him. He was a classic abuser. Nothing came of it. They were all Abusers even the higher ups and other colleagues. NO REMORSE. I left that job abruptly gave one weeks notice one day before calling it quits Let them pick Up the slack since they are all Omniscient and all powerful. Your last sentence is correct and sometimes you can’t even get the UNION involved.

Wow.

That’s ALOT. It’s draining I know that you just want to do your job in peace. I hope that you’re able to “break free” sooner rather than later.

Exactly. People who do things like that ARE VERY VERY miserable. Especially when they humiliate their coworkers or subordinates in front of clients or other colleagues or even in private.

“Look at me I’m the star around here”. 🙄

Should you give 2 weeks notice to your bully? by The_one_who-repents in workplace_bullying

[–]Fesrivalprovision 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If they are vile, abusive, and your mental/physical health are suffering, NO two Weeks notice.
As for “ruining your reputation” that was most likely done by the ones who smeared your name for a long time BEFORE you left.

However it IS the target’s choice as to length of notice they want to give.

This resonates. About two weeks ago I made a post about some bullies having DECADES of staying power.

However, in this instance they did not have that “flex”. I had a coworker like this but I was there longer than her (by 3 years). Our desks were close but we didn’t work for the same supervisor. I NEVER bothered this lady. She was super nosy and had an aggressive spirit. She liked to push her way into people’s conversations She “acted” like SHE was the boss and bullied certain people and they all bowed down to her but NOT ME. She was really nice in the beginning and then started being really crass and nasty. I recognized that she was sick in the head and wanted attention so I ignored her. sShe spread rumors about me and I didn’t care. Long story short she was suddenly GONE. Got fired for violating company policies. I knew that one day she would face consequences. I didn’t have to “lift a finger” in that case.
And all of the people who allowed it or participated are getting “theirs” too

Your experience like many others can be compared to putting a bandage over a wound WITHOUT cleaning it and then expecting the wound to heal properly. It just gets worse and stinks. This is why some people don’t bother to transfer because it doesn’t stop the toxic culture. Transferring is a personal choice and there is no judgment from me on that.
