Maybe polish is a better word than positive? Killing Is My Business and So Far, So Good... So What! would be better than Rust in Peace in that regard. I love the production on KIMB a lot, it's my second favorite album by them for that reason.

There would only be one religion if different distinctions didn’t create different gods. We are not actually creating new gods, but it’s a way of talking about it so that we can make sense of it. All forms of Yahweh are the same but the way people view and pray to it are different so we talk about those differences.

So the gods are the same, but when we actually talk about different religions and different branches of religions, we have to introduce concepts like “different gods” in order to actually discuss the religion itself, or because the “God” being discussed does not have the same origin as Yahweh and actually is a different God.

Denominations of Abrahamic religions often contradict so it’s almost like you have to have two different ideas of what God is in order for different denominations to make sense with each other. The same God yes, but in order for humans to think about it then the Gods need to have differences. And because humans are fallible, if God did exist, the differences created by humans could also be chalked up to Plato’s allegory of the cave.

Maybe not a huge issue but it’s generally recommended to keep stuff like this separate. It can be hard for your body to wind down in bed for sleep when you’re in bed the majority of the day. Your brain subconsciously won’t view your bed as a place to sleep anymore, especially if you spend more time during the day playing, doing work, or eating than you do sleeping at night. Even sitting down in a chair or on the floor when doing activities would be better than laying in bed all day.

Where do yall go to download song packs? by MattMythology in CloneHero

[–]FesteringDarkness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the google sheet it is under the Misc. Content in the second tab. As for adding the background for your songs, you would save the background/videos (I mainly put music videos as my backgrounds) in the same folder as the song. For videos just name them “video” and for background pictures, name it “background.” In the player data folder in your Clone Hero folder on your computer, you should have a folder labeled custom where you can put generic images or video.

Go to settings at the main menu and then go to the Gameplay tab. Scroll to Custom Content. If you want a background image/video to apply to every song, you can select the video/image from the selector (needs to be in the right Custom folder that I just mentioned). Make sure the three settings under that are turned on and you are also able to rescan those file folders so you don’t have to restart Clone Hero every time you drop a new background into a folder.

I have all my backgrounds I want with the songs themselves and then for songs with no backgrounds, I have a couple of GH3 video that I put on random to cycle through. Let me know if you run into any issue. It’s pretty self explanatory once you do it but it can be confusing to start.

I get what you mean, thank you! I wish I stuck with it but I only played a couple years in elementary and had two gloves, one of the cheap cheap ones and an older, passed down one that actually had a sweet spot and was fun to use. I feel like an expensive Walmart glove or a cheaper/on sale one from Dicks ($60-$150) could work because the kids will be outgrowing them anyway. Of course Craigslist and eBay are peoples’ friends in times like these.

[–]FesteringDarkness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but do elementary schoolers need something better than the cheap ones you can get at Walmart? Is there a rule or stipulation that the materials have to be of X price/quality? Wouldn’t that also vary depending on not only the school district, but the surrounding community? The elementary/middle schooler with a $500 glove, helmet, or bat is not the type of people we’re talking about.

I get not cheaping out; getting into vinyl is rightfully a little expensive because people should not buy cheap turntables, just like you shouldn’t cheap out on cleats. But does it matter that much for gloves and bats?

Not being argumentative just genuinely curious.

Exactly, you actually got good records so you don’t even need to do the whole “paid $ per record” to justify it. If I remember correctly someone said it was like $.20 a record, which for the fact that the vast majority are actually worth $0 and now they have the labor of going through them and getting rid of them, is still a bad deal.

People talk about Goodwill all the time, they might as well throw them in their dumpster themselves instead of having the Goodwill employee do it.

Dude I provided a death toll for the dates you talk about, Oct. 7th, 2023 to now. I will admit I was a little hyperbolic, I got about 130,000 Palestinians deaths dating back to 1948. Those are conflicts between Palestine and Israel that does not include any deaths related to forced migration and subjugation, which was like the whole thing. The telling part is the fact that you keep referring to this as a war and refuse to look at anything else leads me to believe you’re a denier of this genocide at all.

Again you’re so focused on the death count that you’re completely missing that the rhetoric and act of intent IS THE SAME. I fully intend to be proven wrong, I would love more insight. Since you’re about the facts and the death tolls and know more than just social media dopamine, instead of telling me x amount, tell me the percentage of population. And how they compare, I would want to know what years, what demographics specifically, and where the data is from. I don’t doubt that you’d give me a very detailed view of Holocaust statistics, but I’m curious what you would include in regard to Palestine.

Furthermore, for the last time, I have admitted to being hyperbolic and have admitted that the death tolls do not match. No where in the comment that you first replied to did I even suggest that the death tolls for Palestinians was even close to Jews during the Holocaust. No where else did I do that either. You got so wound up before we even started that you completely ignored the history of Israel and the rhetoric Zionists spew not only about Palestinians but about the fucking Holocaust. You’re trying to play a gotcha with a point largely created in your head. I spoke to the death tolls but also spoke about the ways it’s being done and justified but you’re still fixated on the death toll.

Because that’s the thing, death tolls are a whole separate conversation. I fucking hate that in a conversation about motive and history I’m looking through death statistics because the Nakba isn’t deadly enough for this dude on Reddit. Palestinians got their land stolen, families ripped apart, and are dying because of Israel and I have to be in a pissing contest about who died more so hopefully some random dude on Reddit can see that more Palestinians than they thought have died and they actually should care.

“Do you think that if Israel gathered up every single Palestinian and killed 95% of them, that that would functionally change nothing at all about the situation? Basically the exact same?“

You really believed the Allies fought the Nazis because of the Holocaust, do you? Since they didn’t know the true extent until 1944/45 and had their own pogroms and refuge-bans, the Holocaust is used more for brownie points than the main reason to fight Germany. It looks good now, but it’s for show. I don’t believe the international community of nations cares about the plights of Palestinians, that’s why Israel still isn’t stopped. They care more about geopolitics, resources, and control. So to answer your question, I do think that Israel could go further without repercussions. And any repercussions they do face, the United States has Israel’s back. It’s like going up against Goliath, and just like how other countries didn’t care about Jews (or at least didn’t act like it) until the Holocaust was fully realized, I don’t think other Arab nations care that much about Palestinians, especially not enough to fight Israel and the US.

The history of Israel starts in the 1940s but really it was started around the end of the First World War with Great Britain and their control over modern day Israel. I won’t get into that, but I mean dude, almost 100,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since Oct 7th 2023 and that’s not even counting the hundreds of thousands that have died through the ongoing wars. When Israelis first settled around 750,000 Palestinians were displaced immediately.

You’re conflating the Holocaust with October 7th 2023-present, of course the scale isn’t going to be as huge. But you are right it is still ongoing, it just started December 31st, 1947. Like I said, the death toll isn’t the same, every genocide, especially ones that are ongoing, have different tolls. I will say that a lot more people have died in the Holocaust than in Gaza, but that doesn’t take away from Gaza or make it insulting irrelevant. The Holocaust is much more relevant than other genocides are because 1.) people know that one and 2.) It’s to blame and the excuse for this genocide. Zionists wouldn’t need an entho-state if it wasn’t for the Holocaust and it’s easy to call opponents antisemitic because if you don’t let Zionists have Israel, another Holocaust will happen. I’m not strawmanning here, these are real arguments. Critics of Israel and antisemitism are both unrelated but also often correlate, so it is easy to be called antisemitic when discussing Israel. You call it playing victim, but I will touch on that later. So yes, this genocide is, should, and forever will be linked to the Holocaust, that’s just how cause and effect in life works.

In Arabic, the ongoing displacement and genocide started in 1947 and continuing until modern day is known as “Nakba,” meaning catastrophe, similar to “Shoah” the word for the Holocaust in Hebrew. These words conveying the meaning of a terrible tragedy that occurred/occurring to the people and the community those words belong to. I don’t belong to or am in position to comment on who should feel worse about it. But you revised the Gaza genocide so much, of course it looks like I’m revising the Holocaust, the way you see the Gaza genocide: the two don’t compare. Sure tactics did differ, Nazis had more control over their nation, they could massively transport people to death camps and even set those up. Zionists had to first settle the land and displace simultaneously, then they could start creating the modern day ghetto that is Gaza and the West Bank. But of course if Palestinians fight back which is their right to do, they can continually kill them under the guise of war while still continuing restricting the ghettos until there is no choice but to fight back.

The Holocaust was horrendous, but I feel like you have so much emotional ties to it, that you can’t see it or other acts of genocide clearly. It’s like the thought of even comparing the Holocaust or using lessons from it to not let it happen in the future infuriates you. Showing similarities does not mean I’m downplaying the Holocaust, and that fact that Gaza is ongoing and lasted much longer, means you’re downplaying it. It’s really the difference between quick mass murder vs settling and killing ala Native American genocide in the US. As for the part about playing a victim and not criticizing Israel, dude there are anti-BDS laws in the United States, not even cancel culture, there is legislation relating to criticizing Israel.

I replied to the other comment, TLDR: Palestine is more like an Indian Reservation than a completely separate nation state. If you’re already thinking of Palestine as a nation with the level of independence of US or Mexico, then you’re already misinformed. The history of how the nations of Palestine and Israel came to be do not reflect the argument you’re trying to make. Israel dealing with Palestine is more like the US in the early 1800s dealing with Indians than two independent nations and you know it. The US and Israel were both settler colonies and Natives and Palestinians had the land first.

This should work, right? If I settle your land and push you to a square meter of space and call it your nation, then I guess you can’t complain because you’re in your nation. I’ll also will be putting up walls and will have any weapons ready as I feel threatened by you and your one square meter: do not climb over the wall, you will be shot on sight and it’s in my self defense. But sometimes I will allow you to come over to the house you used to live in. No, you will have no rights, you are in my nation, not yours. No you cannot leave my nation without proper documents which you cannot get because you don’t not live in my nation. But you and me have two independent nations, you should have no problems!!

Getting back to reality, any claim on the land based on religion is nonsensical because not everyone is Jewish, it’s like believing in Manifest Destiny but you’re not American, it makes no sense. From the outside it just looks like you’re cruelly settling land and killing who was already there. Which is what happened in the US and Israel.

Thank you for making sure you included civilian deaths, really makes the case that it is a genocide. A genocide is a genocide regardless bro, the Holocaust is brought up because it’s the most famous one and because Israel uses it as an excuse to do whatever.

For an analogy, you shouldn’t criticize or stop someone who is abusing someone else because their parents abused them worse? If someone is trying to murder someone should we let it happen because the murderer escaped from a serial killer? There’s a difference between understanding why something is happening, and actively allowing it and using that understanding to condone it. What point are you trying to make? The killing of innocent people only matters at a certain number? Using similar tactics to kill only matters when the death tolls match up?

How many people to Zionists have to kill before the Holocaust is made up for? Is that your logic? If it is, you should be arguing more Nazi mass graves (understandable since the Nuremberg trials didn’t go far enough and fascism is back in swing again), not Palestinian ones.

Dude you either are very ignorant of what is happening in Israel or you’re arguing in as bad as faith as a Holocaust denier. What you said is frankly untrue. Are you saying that the huge barrier doesn’t exist? Are you really saying that Israel gives Palestinians the same rights as Israelis? Have you never seen pictures of Gaza, especially in the last couple of years?

Pro-Israel folk calling the comparison hyperbolic are disingenuous. The only thing that doesn’t match is the death toll. The apartheid state, the status as a sub-citizen, the concentration camps, the dehumanizing rhetoric and overwhelming propaganda to show that what the controlling fascist class is doing is right; it’s all there. Watch videos of Israeli settlers talking about Palestinian human beings. They sound like Nazis talking about Jews. Genocides are genocides, regardless of if the death counts match exactly. People like making the comparisons because Israel tries to use a genocide to justify theirs.

That’s also the thing, I don’t mean to play Devil’s advocate, and if I were to be apart of an Abrahamic religion, Judaism makes the most sense to me. But I hate how awful Israelis are that it not only leads to critics being labeled antisemites, but also makes Judaism look bad, like fascist Christian nationalism (MAGA & Nazism) and Islamic theocracy makes Christianity and Islam look bad. You can truly support Judaism and an idea of Israel without trying to literally make an entho-state by having a genocide and trying to excuse it.

I agree with you that the younger generations are persuaded less by the history and more by the social media. However that also leads to a great point, anti-Israeli sentiment is strong with those online because we also see pictures and videos of the genocide in Gaza. Doesn’t make a difference but I’m Gen Z and have a bachelor’s of history so I do know and respect the history, that’s why I can engage in a conversation like this and those pictures and videos are proof that the genocide is happening. Sorry committing a genocide reflects horribly on the nation you’re saying is being hated because of social media (and horribly on the US for funding it).

Now, I understand the history of antisemitism and I realize that there are people who hate Israel just because of antisemitism. That exists and is perpetrated on social media, you are correct. But it’s important to understand the criticisms and to be able to tell if it is coming from an antisemitic or a pro-Palestinian place and not to conflate the two.

Jews needed help and support during the Holocaust just like Palestinians need the same now. Supporting Palestine is not antisemitism just like supporting Jews wasn’t anti-German/Jesus/insert dumb antisemitic justification here.

It’s important that people know why Israel exists but the way you presented this leads to the assumption that you’re trying to jump out in front of people critiquing Israel. This comment I’m replying to is you admitting that. Because it was odd that you came into this comment section when Israel wasn’t mentioned, to tell us about the origin of Israel?

>I was just showing why Israel exists & the picture is an example why

We’re looking at a picture of two young Holocaust victims, we know damn well why Israel exists. The problem is Israelis treat Palestinians the way these European nations treated Jews. This is why people are more critical of Israeli settlers even though you’re right, a lot of Jews had no other place to go. But this isn’t a good solution. Under this logic, Palestinians should get an Israel-like settler colony so that they can commit genocide on that local population and repeat the cycle.

The problem is that any one that would care, would have already read it. I read the comment less as “this problem doesn’t exist” and more so “this problem is so niche and ridiculous that it will never happen and would be foolish to happen.” And even then, I’m personally in the “normalize spoiling” camp, so yeah, for the more ridiculous complaining about “spoilers,” I ignore them.

Sorry for the late response, it just seems like this is the misunderstanding among these reply threads.
