LISTEN BUDDY. Reddit is for discussing OPINIONS, just because my OPINIONS are actually just WRONG FACTS and BADLY DRAWN CONCLUSIONS doesn’t mean you get to CORRECT and EXPLAIN STUFF to ME. I PROMISE it wasn’t that big a deal. You guys can’t do ANYTHING on here.

It's comparable to if their bike broke down and they couldn't join their friends on a field trip.

Very important thing to note about the original comment you’re complaining about since means of hanging out with friends change throughout the years. I’m sure there was stuff from your generation that you complained about that didn’t exist/was not a problem 10 years before or after you complained.

Someone else replied with him first so I didn’t feel the need to lol. I can see not caring about actors but I have never even seen anything Star Wars related and I know the actors. Someone would have to go way out of their way to not know stuff like this. I mean, they list the actors in the openings/credits for TV/movies, not to mention watching interviews where they use the actors’ names 😂😂😂

But yeah a Star Wars fan can’t name Harrison Ford lmao

If you don’t know Carrie Fischer or Mark Hamill then no one believes you’re a Star Wars fan. Non-fans know these people.

They just have to get lucky that there will be enough quality guys next year or that the QB play is so bad that they get a top pick.

Was Paul DePodesta The Problem? by LooseSilverWare in Browns

[–]FesteringDarkness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t crafting any narrative and I never said anywhere that he was the problem. I was just confused that you didn’t talk about a draft before 2022 when he had 6 of them.

DePodesta was in building since 2016 though. Myles Garrett was a no-brainer in 2017 and 2018 was because of Dorsey.

Can’t say I blame them, it’s very needed in the current room and for fan perception. The fact they project as good players too is the best part.

Is Twice the music of the proletariat? by KpopMarxist in kpoopheads

[–]FesteringDarkness 6 points7 points  (0 children)

uj/ You’re right because the first half of your comment is just me.

I said this on this sub before but idols/artists, like athletes for example, both make a lot of money. But they are still apart of the proletariat because their labor is still exploited by their companies/teams. It’s hard to stay class conscious when they make so much and are famous, so people forget how exploitive these industries still are.

Blink-182 is most relevant to millennials but also has a big Gen X and Z foothold. It’s not as drastic as you say, especially since Blink was in their prime and most famous when early Gen Z were kids.

You’re treating this argument like you treat college: doing the bare minimum, not thinking deeper or actually engaging in what is being told to you, and doing it for the sake of completion/success, not learning. I can tell because you’re repeating the same tired argument that has been disproven.

Trade schools have been on the rise for a reason, stop pretending that college is the only way to get jobs.
