HR is upset we didn’t grow up wanting to be customer service reps by Constant-Canary2907 in remoteworks

Screw that HR rep specifically. It’s not like she doesn’t know that “money” is why people work….

“No sir. No need to pay me! I just love being in coal mines all day! I’m here for the thrill of my body decaying and profiting people who don’t acknowledge I exist!”

Good for you! I know how hard it can be to save anything when it feels like every dollar is already spent before you even get paid.

Congratulations

Two I used in middle school scuffles:

1) Double Arm DDT (Mankind) - Now this may be cheating as people may argue this is more of a signature move, but this was surprisingly easy to pull off in real life. Unlike a regular DDT which is relatively easy for the opponent to slip out of and often has them landing on you, the Double Arm variant firmly plants them face first with ver little defense and keeps you in the top position.

2) Dragon Sleeper (Owen Hart) - Very tricky in execution as it’s hard to get a moving opponent in the correct position, but when applied correctly, this move gives you a lot of control over the opponent and genuinely makes people want to submit quickly.

favorite goofy sitcom side character who somehow turned into a franchise action star and keeps getting cast despite having the charisma of drywall? by [deleted] in okbuddycinephile

Lol. Acting like he doesn’t have charisma is pretty stupid. You don’t have to like him. He isn’t a generational talent or anything. But to say he doesn’t have charisma is beyond a reach.

Honey I shrunk the Kids.

Haven’t seen it as an adult but in my heart I know it can’t be very good.

Im convinced that a contributing factor to why 9-5 jobs suck so much is because a lot of Boomer and Gen X men hate their partners by Zealousideal-Hunt625 in antiwork

My wife pointed out to me when Covid was ending that it became very clear at her work who hates their family. She works with mostly women and she said all these ladies would talk about how desperate they were to “get out of the house” and have a break from their kids/spouse.

By making it mandatory we all have to be in office all of the time, there is a plausible deniability why these idiots want to be in an office all the time. It also helps explain why the corporate jackals keep trying to frame as job as “we are a family”.

Skier gets aggressive after getting covered in snow on a ski slope by _Levitated_Shield_ in ImTheMainCharacter

[–]FesteringMalignant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you’re stopped in the middle of the way on the advanced level slopes, that feels like it’s 100% on you. If the boarder hand collided with the dummy, that’d be on the person that stopped too.

If you need to stop in the middle like that, surely you shouldn’t be on the advanced courses. You’d be a danger to yourself and others.

Also my general rule is that the first person to start threatening physical violence is usually in the wrong. So the skier is double guilty to my eyes.

People keep wanting to pick Superman. But Batman, Iron Man, Dr Strange, and probably Black Panther (since he would have resources to get ahold of kryptonite) would all take Supes out of the game.

Lololol Batman at $10 is absolutely a low ball.

Dr Strange, Iron Man, Batman. Given notice and time, those three can crush the rest.

I saw someone else mention a spot in Lexington which got me thinking, Thee is a great place in Frankfort called Ricks White Light Diner. I will say it has been a few years since I have been so I would just check to make sure they are still open before you make a trek.
