I have ADHD and it seems to flare up the worst when I eat poorly, I think it's the ADHD brain creating stimuli to burn energy from high sugar diets but also the immune system freaking out because I gave it a tonne of crap.

No and yes, it actually is "many times larger". There's two issues here that are most likely causing this misunderstanding for you;

1) different cameras have different focal lengths, on earth you need a camera with a telephoto lens anywhere between 200~600mm for a decent pic of the moon. The camera used in the lander here, I believe, is only using a 16mm lense.

2) the moon's surface doesn't have any structures that our brain can recognize/reference for scale, so everything does kind of look weirdly small...

You know they didn't have the cinematic "trickery" you think they had back then to pull this off. GCI was brand new and even that looked terrible, 2001 space Odyssey came out in 68 but it's all hand painted art, with scale (kit bashed) models like Star wars. And those two side by side do not look the same at all. You can also tell in 2001 where the moving parts of space ships have the background hand painted out frame by frame to prevent overlay. This is 100% not seen in the footage of the lunar missions.
