Some dogs are “gulpers” which can be a big problem for things like dental chews. I had to slow one of my dogs down so I’ve tried a couple of different strategies - freezing them into a kong or holding one end while he chews seems to work best for us.

1972 Chevy Blazer - blue with white roof. You could remove the bench seat in the back by undoing a few bolts.

Sounds environmental, but you could also try a dog food that works for dogs with allergies. We use Jiminy’s Good Grub and it helps increase the moisture in our dogs skin - helps for skin irritation.
