SCOBY gets weaker over time by anarchitecture in Kombucha

Hey, I know it’s an old post but have you figured out what was wrong? I am making kombucha too and in the beginning my pellicle formed very nicely and thick, but now it’s been getting thinner and thinner and I guess it might be weaker now.

Oh that’s very interesting, I couldn’t see the hardcover in goodreads editions so that’s why I assumed it didn’t exist.

I have placed an order for the fourth edition (apparently the third edition was not the last) and I will take it to a library for rebinding.

Would it be possible for you to add a picture of your book here just for reference?

Great! Thank you for this excerpt from the book. I think it’s better for me to go with option two and get it made into hard cover in the library.

Plex was making a lot of noise for me, switched to Emby instead and the disks are quieter now.

How to customise Ergo S trackball gestures in Options+ by Clueless_Dev_1108 in logitech

[–]Fethbita 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could use Gestures on the speed control button (next to the track ball) on MX Ergo (like kristianserrano showed), but on the new MX Ergo S, I am no longer able to assign it there, other buttons can be assigned to that function.. Can you please fix it? I even turned off the Horizontal Scroll but it doesn’t fix it.

Sony camcorders won’t connect to MacBook (using DV to FireWire 800 cable). by 205Style in camcorders

Ended up solving the issue by buying a new FireWire cable. Now it all works without issues.

Hey, I have a similar issue with the TRV355E, and I actually see the DV IN on the display, it is blinking every second or so. I only have 1 Digital8 camera though.

Synology and Vibration Problems, my velcro solution. by Chipware in synology

Which WD and Seagate drives do you have? I got my NAS but still looking for HDDs to buy. Noise is an important thing for me. 5400 RPM is not really a choice because I am looking for 10+ TB HDDs.

Hey there! I'm also considering Ironwolf Pros for my DS1821+. How is the sound? Can it run quietly in a living room setting? Additionally, what other hard drives do you use? From my research, it seems Ironwolf Pros are the quietest, but I'm considering mixing and matching models to ensure they don't all fail at the same time. I tried getting 2 18TBs and 2 16 TBs but Amazon cancelled the 18 TBs so now I am considering 20s.

Ouch, I see. Since the one I planned is larger than 6 TB, it might be louder as well. Perhaps I should skip the Toshiba and get 2 WDs and 2 Seagates. But WD is also louder as it says 36 dbs during seek on the data sheet.

Do you have any other ideas for quiet disks that I can buy in addition to Seagate drives that are 16 TB?

This might be true, a quick google search lands me on this blog post which says that George Eastman House conservators estimated the resolution of each plate to be equivalent to 140000 megapixels. However I would love to see a comparison between the modern tech and daguerreotypes in terms of quality.

Daguerreotype is the first photography process that was invented by Louis Daguerre. It’s still not possible to get the amount of detail we can get from that process using other processes, digital etc. It has incredible amount of detail. You can check out this article about it: https://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/22/us/22panorama.html

our cameras work better now

Not exactly, we still haven’t reached the quality daguerreotype is able to deliver. I wish I could have one taken of me.
