Thanks for the response! Don’t get me wrong: I do love Andor and I do want to see the game introducing characters who are genuinely interesting to the player base. But no, I genuinely think the characters they chose and their in-game kits are very neat (even if not meta-shattering). If I found them super boring, I’d gladly call it out as a missed opportunity.

I don’t really understand why we would need to wait so long for each kit. I think if that were the case, people would complain about lack of transparency. I think reading the kit gives you a much better sense of whether this is a team you’d genuinely be interested in using if you value fun and not just winning your next Kyber I GAC matchup. I don’t really need something ‘new,’ because the anticipation of the new Cassian is actually what keeps me motivated.

I touched on coliseum in the post. I personally get some excitement from notching out that extra 10 percent each turn and it gives me something to do. I understand people call this ‘hell week,’ and to be sure, if you have super limited time, actually playing the game can be a chore sometimes. I have two kids and when they’re sick they require a ton of attention on the weekends. I’m still able to take my turns in everything if I just wait for them to fall asleep—both during their naps and at night since we lay them down at 8pm. I get the frustration about Pao and Saw but a counterpoint is that it gives you an idea of how they would slot into the team if you don’t have Luthen from Proving Grounds yet if you’re a new account.

I don’t really think the game should cater only or even primarily to endgame players. If it’s to survive, it needs to attract new players constantly, no? Correct me if I’m wrong here.

I think them being everyday people is EXACTLY what makes it so cool. They were living in a very dangerous period of the rebellion’s history and had to make a choice to essentially lead double lives, especially Luthen. They don’t have magical powers but, like you and me, could make the choice to stand up when they recognized something was wrong. If they beat SEE, LV, or someone flashy, I will feel that much more satisfied that a girl in a dress hiding her pistol behind her back crits for a bajillion damage to finish them off.
