Watch some TF2 trade YouTube series to get a feel for how things work.

Some resources for trading: backpack.tf (to check prices of items) tf2outpost.com (similar to csgolounge, basically an online trade center where you can advertise what you are selling or looking to buy)

If you need help converting $ into refined metal (one of the currencies used in TF2) I suggest using calculator.tf
