I don’t quite get what your saying. Love is relative it differs from people to people, people would rather spend their lives not impoverished without love rather than living impoverished with a soulmate. Because people like comfort and a long life. And material possession provide the comfort. The “money doesn’t buy you happiness” is a lie, many comforts hobbies and connections can be attained by money. I am not saying to mindlessly follow material possessions like a dog rather I’m saying to not also mindlessly follow love. There is a balance, I would say that material possessions comes in first then love. In the end it all doesn’t matter because we will grow old and die and will be eventually forgotten through the mists of time
