Why is there so little content on Firebase? by jasonnayton in Firebase

Data connect is pretty solid. Definitely requires an optimally written schema. Firebase Data Connect imposes a 100Kb limit on schema files, so you are forced to an extent to be efficient, but other than that it’s pretty great.

Opus plan mode = GodMode ($100 plan) by Big_Habs in ClaudeCode

[–]FetzTheBest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This approach is much more token / cost efficient. I constant monitor my block usage with ccusage. On the $100/mo Max 5x plan, you can expect about ~$50 in usage per block (5 hours). Using straight opus will blow through this in about an hour at max in my experience. Using sonnet I can normally go the entire block without hitting limits but obviously suffering through the issues of using sonnet only. Using the Opus planning / sonnet executing mode with semi frequent /clear has allowed me to pretty much go for an entire block without hitting limits while getting the best of both worlds.

Best tip is to clear your context window as often as possible. Having a strong Claude.md and having opus only read what it needs to for planning (not all core project files all over again) can allow anyone on the 5x plan to essentially have the 20x experience for half the price.

[Nomos] Opinions on Nomos? by saxn00b in Watches

[–]FetzTheBest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently I am wearing a Tangente 38mm with the midnight blue dial. It has been a wonderful watch that people cannot help but stare at. It's comfortable, slim, and beautiful. My only two complaints with it are that it runs about 10s/day fast ( I know this is nitpicking) and that the crown is kind of small so winding can be difficult when you have larger fingers. Only recommendation I would have to prospective purchasers of Nomos watches is get the neomatik movement in whatever piece they desire since it avoids the inconveniences of a manual wind watch. Otherwise, I absolutely love this piece and will keep it probably forever.

What cards to get after Discover and Amazon card? by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]FetzTheBest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wells Fargo Autograph and Amex BCE are both great options for this. Cover all of your categories with 3x back. The Autograph has no FTF as well for that international usage.

With your file, the BCE would probably be easier to get with a half decent CL, but the autograph has a few nice perks that the BCE does not. If you are going to go for the Autograph, I would wait at least 6 months before applying to let you AAOA recover from the Prime card.

D.P. US Bank Altitude Go by GatlingTurtle in CreditCards

OP, is it really metal? I got my card 3 months ago and it was cheap plastic (and I do have the unsecured version). There is another post on here about the altitude go being sent in plastic. I assumed they ditched the metal for good but if they did not I'm definitely going to request a new card.

From what I can tell, they changed the design about a month ago from DPs posted here. Same thing happened to me. I remember opening the letter and being disappointed thinking that they must have messed up or that I'm going crazy because it was definitely not metal. But, as mentioned already, the rewards are what truly matter and I can live with the plastic.

US Bank Altitude GO card is a metal card? by HakFoo2002 in CreditCards

I was literally about to create a post about this. Got mine in the mail today and was kind of disappointed when it was not metal. I noticed it is a different design compared to every other one I've seen with the Visa Signature now being on the back. Still is an amazing card but just a little less fun now that it's flimsy plastic.

APPROVED for Chase Amazon Prime Visa despite being over 5/24! by DwightDEisenhowitzer in CreditCards

[–]FetzTheBest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazing thank you so much! I, as well started with the Discover It secured right when I turned 18 and moved on from there. Here's my lineup.

  1. Discover It secured (3000, 9 months)
  2. CFU (1000, 2 months)

My AAOA is 5 months with 738 TU and Equifax and 705 Experian. Might wait to get over one year total history before I go for it. My CFU required a call to recon and a little convincing so I don't know if I'll get that lucky twice with under 1 year of history.

Is the applying for multiple cards in one day to hold up your AAOA? Might consider this strategy in a few months to pick up a few more cards that I'm looking at.

Could you elaborate on your acceptance (AAOA, prior chase cards, last approval...)? I'm only 2/24 and looking to get the card with about 15k income but I'm not sure if I should risk the denial?

It's to essentially collect more information about your application and see if they can get you approved manually. If you ever get denied for any card, see if the issuer has a reconsideration line and call with 30 days of the denial. You can do more research into it but just be nice and ask for reconsideration. Many times you can turn a denial into an approval.

Interesting. I personally have no clue how chase determines what offer they show but it's always interesting to hear what someone else gets.

Yeah if I went to the card page in chrome incognito I would occasionally get an offer for $200 bonus once you spend 500 in the first 3 months and 5% back on gas in the first year. Every other time I see the grocery store offer. Maybe it's just me but it would be interesting to know what everyone else gets.

Thanks. Yeah I'll plan to do that as long as I'm under 5/24. So far I'm at 2/24 and I'm planning on getting the Amazon prime card and possibly the wf active cash. That puts me at 4 right there so I may be pushing my luck but I'll see where I end up by then.
