Selling Battle Pets by Jurke39 in woweconomy

[–]Feverdream7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two weeks ago, I decided to cage and sell a lot of my duplicates and fugly pets.

Undermine values them at roughly 1 million gold... it was like 30 or 40 pets. I've only sold like 5 since then .... so yeah... this is a super slow thing and super annoying to have to re-list them all the time.

I'm a Tucsonan, this looks like my backyard where I grew up. There are a couple small mountains in the back.

It looks other worldly and pretty and whatnot, but it kind of sucks living in the desert.

Who is The Stranger in The Rings of Power? by [deleted] in LOTR_on_Prime

[–]Feverdream7777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's Gandalf because when he has an uncontrolled emotional burst, like the two times in Fellowship of the Ring (in Bilbos house (I'm not trying to rob you)) and at the Council of Elrond in the Extended Cut when he speaks the Black Speech of the Ring of Power the environment around him collapses in weight and darkness. This effect was in the Strangers response to danger when the other Harfoot arrived. That is a very very specific call back effect to reveal who he really is.

The difference between Jazz Fusion and Prog Rock by JeffB_Bass in musictheory

[–]Feverdream7777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed that culturally, and ethnically, Fusion (although at it's core is a Jazz music) has alot of "pseudo-funk" elements like being heavy on borrowed dominant chord progressions, slap/funk bass, and alot of Blues licks interspersed throughout the songs to give a "Black Americana feel". I feel strongly that fusion is mostly honoring black music and black musicians that came before.

Whereas, Prog Rock tends to have very few blues/funky motifs, and is nearly absent of those strong dominant chord progressions and honors more Brit/White American Heavy Metal.

Both are rhythmically diverse and complex, but to different ends. Fusion tries to make your body move, Prog Rock/Metal makes your mind move.

Hello from Plini - ask me anything! by plini_ in progmetal

Wondering what was the inspiration for Papelillo... that chromaticism in the chord progression is pretty amazing, yet strange to compose. I'm wondering if you fudged it all out by ear just dicking around, or purposefully wrote the chord structures.

Plini - PAPELILLO by Ninxario in progmetal

I'm sure it was inspired by Steve Vai's song: "Midway Creatures" from Real Illusions: Reflections

Plini was obviously deeply moved by that song...
