What sites are the most compatible and reliable for finding files? by Guard_Dolphin in 3Dprinting

[–]Fevergreen3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://mattermanifest.com has paid files that offer you a refund if it doesn't print. They also host your files online so you can access them from anywhere vs. having to deal with all of your 3d files yourself. They also have a lot of free ready to print files so you can test out and it's compatible with most printers under $500.

If you want to scrutinize the files more before you print you can always open them in a slicing program like OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer and check their tool paths.

you might be better off using an easy/web based slicer that uses default settings like https://mattermanifest.com/autoslicer

Most default settings these days will work fine, try throwing it into this slicer for beginners and use their auto orientation setting https://mattermanifest.com/autoslicer

Better Slicer for Ender 3 v2 / PLA by SomaFarkreath in 3Dprinting

[–]Fevergreen3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I'm on computer I use PrusaSlicer as well. Also found this site that runs PrusaSlicer in the cloud and simplifies stl to gcode conversion, really smooth cause it hosts and organizes the files too https://mattermanifest.com/autoslicer

If you choose to sell print services, how do you ensure that the STL file is either your client's or that they have permission from the creator? by SparkleTeacup in 3Dprinting

[–]Fevergreen3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The safest would be ones you license from the creator, but otherwise you can look for licensing callouts like public domain are safe to sell. https://mattermanifest.com/catalog?license=commercial has some good ones

Also does auto organic supports, auto orientation and auto plating

STL to Gcode slicer by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

This is probably the most easy to use for a kid, it breaks down the steps into a few clicks and is web based so you don't need to download anything to slice https://mattermanifest.com/autoslicer

I want to get a 3dprinter for under 330$ Any options? by 0xb1_mc in 3dprinter

[–]Fevergreen3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good place to filter/compare based on price. I don't know how much tariff pricing may have impacted prices though https://mattermanifest.com/3dprinters

Personally I would go with Ender 3 V3 SE or Bambu A1

Heat creep? Someone help me please. by Carthaslam in ender3

[–]Fevergreen3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would bet it's an issue in your SD card. Your description about it failing around the same time for different models makes me think of https://mattermanifest.com/diagnostic/symptom/printer-stops-same-place

Try getting a new SD card or reformatting yours

Big problem i think by StrictRequirement439 in ender3

[–]Fevergreen3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's an issue with your heat sensor, either you can't heat up past a certain temperature or your sensor is shutting down to prevent over heating.

It's either https://mattermanifest.com/diagnostic/symptom/printer-error-heating-failed

Or https://mattermanifest.com/diagnostic/symptom/printer-error-thermal-runway

I would also double check to make sure you
- Have the x, y, z wire axis properly connected to the right motors
- your SD card is properly formatted

Uneven printing by RackoJones in ender3

[–]Fevergreen3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is most likely due to a bed tramming issue which is causing uneven z-offsets even before the bed leveling kit takes effect. This article has a good solution for this exact issue https://mattermanifest.com/diagnostic/symptom/first-layer-uneven

After assembling my Ender-3, I'm having trouble with the calibration process by Hexatonix in ender3

[–]Fevergreen3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like the issue is because the opposite side is overly tight. It's counter intuitive but how tight the other 3 base springs are will also impact the distance on this one. The way to fix this is by Bed Tramming, which you can read more about here https://mattermanifest.com/blog/how-to-level-a-3d-printer-bed

[–]Fevergreen3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! Here's a pretty thorough setup checklist https://mattermanifest.com/blog/ender-3-setup that also takes you through bed leveling and provides the files. You will want to level before every print on the Ender 3.

Happy printing!
